This will be fun

Lan Zhan looked at the empty apartment that was going to be his new 'home' from now. It was very quiet and clean.

He didn't like it.

Sitting on the chair by the window he looked at the view outside. There wasn't much to see, a few buildings and the clear sky. This place lacked trees, he thought.

He looked at his bandaged arm and got up to get some food. Cooking with an injured arm is too much trouble.

A week ago he had gotten into a fight with a gang and he was stuck in the arm with a sharp blade. Soon the police arrived and he was taken to the hospital along with another guy who hit him while the others to the police station. At least he got his revenge for the injury.

At that time, he was still in his hometown, living with his family. But now he was alone in an unknown place.

After that incident his father decided to send him away so he could reflect on his actions. He wasn't happy about him getting into fights almost every other day and not focusing on studying. He said if he didn't do well while he stayed close to them then maybe after going away he'll realise his mistakes and learn from them.

The only thing he learnt so far was that he hated being alone in this eerily silent place.

Lan Zhan wondered how his mother agreed to letting him go so far away from home.

Maybe he was a brat who got caught in fights often but he really loved his parents. They were all he had and didn't want to go away from them. He has never stayed away from his parents.

...

Entering the school gate Lan Zhan faced all kinds of looks and whispers. Most of them were about his bandaged arm and bruised face.

He wasn't looking forward to school and these wary looks and malicious whispers ruined his mood even more. He glared at anyone looking at him, successfully keeping them away.

Lan Zhan sat on a bench far away from all the commotion and covered looked at the sky.

Would things be different if he was back home?

He covered his face with his arm and closed his eyes. Thinking these things won't make a difference.

"Hey" a voice came from above him

"Are you okay?"

Lan Zhan removed his arm and before he opened his eyes he caught faint scent of strawberry mixed with rose in the air.

His eyes met chocolate brown ones (at this point idek what I'm writing), he could see the concern and worry in the eyes behind those round glasses.

Lan Zhan nodded and the guy moved in front of him with a smile.

He took a moment a look at the other guy. His uniform was neat and clean, his shirt was nicely tucked in and his hair was combed properly. He had a smile on his face exhibiting his pearly white teeth and eyes were slightly curved up mimicking the smile on his lips (yeah idk what I'm saying). He also noticed the mole under the curved lip.

Overall the boy had a gentle air around him.

He watched him dug into his pocket, take out something and give it to him with a grin.

"Class is about to start," the boy spoke fixing his glasses "don't stay here for long or you'll be late"

With that said he turned around and ran away.

Lan Zhan watched him leave and then looked at the gum in his hands.

Did he get lectured by some random boy? Was he treating him like a child?

Let it be, he's the first person here to talk to him.

...

Lan Zhan wasn't in a good mood. The results for monthly exams were out and just looking at them made him scowl.

He tried. He really tried to focus in class and study but he couldn't. Anything he read would not register in his mind. His mind kept to all the happy memories he had and the more he thought about it the sadder he got.

In the end he got into a mood where he didn't even want to study.

He wanted to tear off that list showing him to be the last in the class. Clenching his hands into fists he got out of the building and sneaked out of the school premise from the back wall.

His parents won't be happy to hear this.

...

The laughing boy in front of him boiled his blood. He wasn't in a good mood and he was making it worse.

Earlier he got lectured by his dad and now this stupid wanted to act like his father and show him place?

Who did he think he was?

Just became they were in the same school before he can act like he knew him? Lan Zhan remembered this guy. He was one of the troublemakers in his old school and for some reason had a grudge against him.

Lan Zhan guessed he wanted to mess with him to make him fight him. But he wasn't going to fight anymore.

He wanted to stop fighting and stay away from people like him.

Then maybe he could go back home.

"Everyone thinks you are a big shot" he sneered and walked closer to Lan Zhan

"But they don't know you were thrown away by your own parents" he whispered in his ears

Lan Zhan saw red and punched the guy's face. He kicked him on his stomach and then hit his back making him fall down.

Lan Zhan pressed down his foot on his stomach making him scream in pain. He kicked him again before getting down and repeatedly punching his face.

Everyone present at the canteen watched in canteen as a student was brutally beaten up.

He didn't stop until he was pulled back by someone. Even while being pulled he managed to land a few kicks on the almost unconscious guy.

It was only after a while that he calmed down and realised what he had done. He saw the face full of blood in terror. His heart was beating fast and his vision got blurry

He told himself that guy deserved it, but it didn't make him feel any better.

He messed up and he has to deal with the consequences.

...

Lan Zhan walked to his locker to get his hoodie before he leaves school. When he got closer he saw someone mess with his locker and then run away. The running figure somehow seemed familiar and gave him a sense of deja vu.

When he opened his locker the smell of rose tingled his nose and he saw something red fall down. With a frown he picked it up and turned it around to look at it.

He opened the envelope and the scent became stronger. Lan Zhan read the contents of the letter and was impressed how this Wei Ying tried to be a poet.

This wasn't his first time to get a love letter or to be confessed to but this was the first time someone tried to be write an entire poem on why they love him. And it was the first time there wasn't any glorification of his handsomeness and wealth.

He wasn't touched by it instead he wanted to laugh at the wacky poem but he controlled himself and only let out a smile.

...

Lan Zhan felt that this Wei Ying who confessed to him seemed familiar but he couldn't remember where he had seen him.

He leaned closer to the boy pressed against the wall and a memory flashed through his head when he smelt the familiar scent.

He looked at the blushing boy, the round glasses shielding the chocolate brown eyes and the mole under his thin lips, all seemed familiar.

He finally remembered he was the boy who talked to him on the first day and smiled.

He came with the intention of rejecting him but looking at him now it seemed things might get interesting.

This will be fun.

With that in mind he agreed to date him but instead of being happy Wei Ying seemed so shocked, his eyes wide and lips quivering.

Amused, Lan Zhan patted his cheek to bring him back to reality. Wei Ying opened his mouth to say something but after a while shut it and ran away.

Lan Zhan was quite amused by his reaction. He turned around to go back to class with the thought that he won't have be alone anymore.

A thought crossed his mind and he stopped and turned around to go back to his apartment.

He bought groceries on his way and reaching home went straight to the kitchen to make lunch. He hummed while he stirred, happy that he will have someone to eat with.

He rarely cooked because he didn't like eating all by himself in this lonely place. Usually he ate out surrounded by many people but no one beside him. Looking at friends and family eat together he wondered when he'll get to eat and chat with a group. Eating alone wasn't fun at all.

...

Lan Zhan waited in his seat looking at the door every now and then.

Why wasn't he here?

Pressing his finger against the desk he glared at the door. The lunch break was almost ending but Wei Ying didn't come to him.

What was he doing?

Where was he?

The bell rang and Lan Zah clicked his tongued in annoyance. He shoved the lunchbox back in his bag and crossed his arms.

Everyone who entered the class gulped and stayed far away from him, scared of the dark aura surrounding.

When Wei Ying didn't come to look for him the second day either his mood worsened.

He went to look for him but he wasn't in his class. Lan Zhan clicked his tongue, turned around to and walked out of the school.

What was Wei Ying doing? Playing hard to get? when they are already dating?
