'Fuck' Jack thought to himself
When he got home, uncle josh had told him that he was not allowed to go on tomorrow's hunt due to his injuries, but told him he should be fine in a day or two, so all he could do was suck it up wait it out.
'Yeah, no'
Jack looked towards his mother and found her snoring away in her bed, and he slowly got out of bed and opened his window.
'Little light what my health and looking like'
'You're mostly healed but not at peak condition yet but you're at full mana'
'Thanks'
Jack climbed out his window and began to head towards the woods, he wasn't satisfied with how today's battle had ended and wanted to make up for it.
He also wanted to try buying some spells from the system but he knew if he wanted to do so he'd need to level up, and little light said the only way to do that was to complete quests or hunt beasts, and that's what he intends to do.
Jack was walking quietly through the woods, he didn't realize it but his passive skill 'basic hunting' was helping him subconsciously avoid things on the ground that make noise while walking through the woods.
'Look for tracks' he said in his mind.
He wondered around for a while until he saw hoof prints in the ground
'One set, it's on its own'
Jack followed the tracks until he came to a large opening in the side of a cliff. He looked in it and was suddenly hit by a hard pressure, in the cliff was a four-legged beast with antlers covered in spikes, and it was dead asleep.
Jack suddenly fell to his knees and found it hard to breathe, he found himself staring at the beast, and his instincts were screaming at him to move, to run, and not look back.
'What….the fuck'
Jack knew what this was, this was like his uncle's beast aura but it was much heavier than his uncle's.
Before jack knew it he was running at his full speed putting as much mana he can around his body to make him move faster, away from the beast and deeper into the forest, he didn't know why but he could guess, he knew if that beast was to wake up, he would die.
at some point jack slowed down and found himself panting in a small clearing, covered head to toe in sweat but he never deactivated his mana and kept his guard up, he suddenly heard a small ruserling in the bushes he panicked and he drew his knife and got in position to fight.
When something jumped out of the bush he didn't hesitate to attack it. Blood splattered over his face and he turned around expecting the beast to be alive, but little light already dismissed it.
'It's dead'

Jack suddenly felt better than ever his headache was gone, his mussels no longer hurt, and he felt suddenly stronger.
Little light was giggling in the back of his mind, she found the feeling of leveling up intoxicating and suddenly couldn't wait for jack to do it again as if addicted.
Now that jack was thinking straight he suddenly found the situation wiard
'Why was there a beast so strong this close to the edge of the forest?'
Jack thought back to yesterday and how his uncle said that there were only 7 advanced tiar beasts in this forest, and jack knew he needs to let his uncle know about one being so close to their hunting ground.
'But why, why is it so far out'
Jack was still slightly panicked and he felt worse the more he thought about it as he began to aproch the village.
Jack decided that he'd let his uncle know in the morning as he wanted to just go to sleep after the whole experience but he felt like he had to do something else first.
'Little light'
'Yah??'
