The sky was still bright, perhaps time here was different. I couldn't tell wether it was morning or noon, but from how bright it was, likely morning. It's odd ... how time changed.. because I came from a setting which was nighttime. I observed my surroundings whilst I sat leaning back on the tree bark. The forest seemed endless from how spacious it was and I didn't know exactly where to begin my journey. I knew i needed a guidance of some sort, but veor was no help and quite honestly, I did not want his companionship. I would do just about anything for at-least a map. But one great thing about this forest was the amount of fruit trees it had, from apples to oranges and mangoes. There was also an abundant amount of shrubs of strawberry's, blackberries and blueberries. I knew hunger wasn't going to be my main problem. The tree I was sitting against was an apple tree, so I naturally reached for the ripe red apple that was laying atop of the grass from across me. I held it in my hand and thought, this almost seems cynical. I thought of Eve and Snowhite and how they fell victim to a seamless apple. I rolled my eyes at my self ridicule as I took a bite, what other purpose did thoughts have if it wasn't to muse. But I only took one bite, and as much as the sweetens overwhelmed me and I wanted to chew on it I spat it out instead.

I remembered Veors words, this place is a heaven and one only realises afterwards that it was the opposite. Perhaps the sweetness of it all is where the evil really is.

But if it was anything I could eat safely it was the grass, since the animals earlier didn't seem effected by it. So I pulled a handful and sprinkled it into my mouth..

It had the stench of raw meat and I automatically made a sour face at the taste. That would explain why the carnivores ate form it earlier. Then a thought came to me, if I was to cook it would maybe taste like a stew.
