Bao watched the world around them momentarily flicker into monochrome and with only Li Yang visibly in color while he was lost in his thoughts. The creature blinked once, felt its heart drum wildly then realized that nothing happened. For a moment it had expected something disastrous.

Calamitous, even.

It almost expected that the same plane of that old god of darkness would come forth into being. While Bao had access to certain information about Li Yang as his official transmitter of events, it didn't know everything.

Aurora had seemed like some sort of loony and hell-bent goddess that was focused on destroying Li Yang because she mistook him for a god, but what if she was actually right and it wasn't coincidence?
