Final Showdown (Part III)

Hawks finally used one of his new techniques.

During his training for the grand finals rounds, Master Wushu trained him to master one of the unique skills in having a tamed beast.

{_Beast Form_}

An ability used by beast tamers. Fusing the body of their tamed beasts to theirs. Acquiring stronger physical strength and speed. At the same time gaining the same abilities which their tamed beast had.

Requirement:

-Massive Ki energy level and a tamed beast.

Barette increased the pressure of her technique on Hawks.

{_Gravitational Pull_}

Unfortunately for her, it was not enough to immobilize Hawks.

Because Hawks summoned his beastly wings for him to fly.

He soared high above the clouds, preparing a powerful attack that will target everyone in the arena.

Unlike Barette who had no idea of what Hawks can do, both Billy and Shams had an idea of the next attack of Hawks.

Based on the element nature of Hawks and his usual techniques with his tamed beast, they prepared themselves to counter the upcoming attack of Hawks.

"Two-layers Barricade!" Billy covered himself with a strong defensive technique which he mastered during the training days before the grand finals round.

While Shams cloaked himself with his own ki energy and disappeared completely.

It made others surprised again because Shams just completely erased himself from the scene.

Barette realized that her two opponents just made a defensive move.

Realizing that Hawks was gearing for a powerful attack.

This realization was already too late for her to create a sufficient defensive move to protect her from what was about to go down.

Clouds above was starting to darken.

All the audience became curious to what was going on.

"Do you see what I see? Are the clouds above getting darker and darker?" curiously stated by the commentator.

His colleague nodded and further pointed out, "And it looks like something big and impressive is about to take place. Prepare yourself to be fascinated by these young disciples."

A series of roaring thunder blasted towards the direction of Barette and to the entire area of the arena.

Blasting all the target in its path.

"Arghh!!!" Barette screamed in pain.

She wanted to fight back and desperately want to survive the powerful attack from Hawks.

But the attacks of Hawks was too much for her to bear.

The barrier she placed around her was not enough to protect her.

Not only the striking thunder coming from above but also the static shocks vibrating towards her direction has penetrated against her barrier which made her temporarily immobilized due to the effect of Hawks' technique.

The referee of the match cannot intervene until the participant declare surrender or defeat in the match.

When Barette was about to fall to the ground, she used her last spiritual energy to use her final desperate move.

"Reversal Effect Psionic Beam!" Barette directed her attack this time towards Billy who has barricaded himself with his defensive technique.

{_Reversal Effect Psionic Beam_}

A technique of Barette as her last resort which allows her to release a supernatural beam towards her opponent. Creating a reversal effect which transfers her damage received towards her target. If it successfully land to her target, her damage and pain will all disappear. Allowing her to regain her normal stats.

Unaware of the intensity of the barricade which Billy placed around himself, her attempt was futile.

It just bounced off.

In her surprise, it was rendered ineffective towards Billy.

"Impossible!" Barette whispered to herself upon realizing the failure of her attempt.

For the first time, her technique was totally useless.

She was not aware that the two-layer barricade created by Billy was not only protecting him from any physical damage but also from any spiritual and mental damage.

Which triggers the second layer as a mirror effect that bounces of any attack that penetrates from the first layer.

Though, it can only be effective if the attack has weaker ki energy level than the ki energy level structured within the layers.

Billy could sense the weakening status of Barette.

He took this opportunity to finally take her out from the match and save her from any further damage from the non-stop series of attack from Hawks.

"Rock Wave!" Billy released his technique while being inside the barricade.

A powerful narrow rock avalanche was going towards Barette.

Seeing the immense and threatening attack approaching towards her, she redirected some of her energy towards the approaching attack.

But alas! It was too great for her to stop it.

The narrow avalanche of rocks pushed her off the arena.

Making her forcefully out of bounds.

At the same time, the static shocks reached her mid-air which added more damage as she fell to the ground smoking burnt from the attack of Hawks.

"Barette is out of bounds! She is out!" the referee of the match announced to everyone.

Somewhere in the coliseum,

[-In the Participants' Lounge-]

Master Narcisso and his disciples expressed their disappointment over the defeat of Barette.

"Master was right! She was the first one to be eliminated upon choosing to get in the middle of the skirmish between those three instead of stepping back and focus in her defensive strategies." One of the disciples of Master Narcisso remarked.

Only a sigh of disappointment was Master Narcisso's reply to his disciples.

Before encouraging them to look forward for the other division matches instead.

Since the other division will have the same format of the grand finals round like the {Junior-Ranked} Division.

One of the disciples of Master Narcisso wondered.

"Where is that other one? He disappeared a while ago. After those multiple series of attacks, he is still nowhere to be found. Is he still in the arena?"

Just like him, everyone was also wondering where Shams has disappeared into.

…

…

Moments after …

The attacks of Hawks stopped but Billy remained on his defensive shell.

Out of a sudden, Hawks felt a powerful presence behind him and focused all his strength in blocking another surprise attack from Shams.

"Have another taste of my … energy blast with a powerful axe kick!" Shams uttered after giving his all in this another surprise attack.

"CURSE YOU!!!!!!" Hawks screamed upon falling from the sky.

He may have blocked the direct impact but the force was too strong that his wings became useless.

Sending him directly downwards … back to the wrecked ground of the arena floor.

…

…

As he was falling quickly, Feilong wondered to Master Wushu.

"How did he pull that off, master? That was a difficult technique to do in his age." Feilong said in his amusement.

"Indeed, Feilong! He needed the right amount of momentum and ki energy level to initiate such tremendous amount of force. Compelling for Hawks to focus only on defending rather than balancing himself above. Balance is the key once you are in the sky. Lose it and you may not regain your balance again." Master Wushu replied.
