I had a dream last night. A dream...where everyone dies.
~ SINS ~
I woke up early today since today is the day I would be going to school for the Hokkaido trip. I refreshed myself and ate instant ramen since I did not have time to cook and pack up. I was playing Sins again till late last night. Those visions and that incident urged me to play it again for answers, but I got stuck in that same stage and gave up eventually. I put on my uniform, and while putting a piece of bread on my mouth, grabbed my sweater, and left.
"Hokkaido, huh?"
I was wondering about this as I was walking my way to school. It was very chilly outside. I could see droplets of snow forming in the windows of the houses around, the snow had also gathered all-around many places too. The roads were slippery, so I had to walk carefully. Going to Hokkaido at this time of the year is insane. I really don't know what the teachers were thinking about while planning this trip. While I was pondering on this, I had reached school faster than I thought. I guess thinking of something else while walking does increase its speed, but it is not good for us.
Kiyose Higashi High School. This high school is one of the top schools in Japan that boasts about individuality. That is the reason why students like me can do whatever they want. Though there are only a few students like me. This school creates geniuses after geniuses that do well in the future of Japan. Like for example, I heard an alumnus named Kawaguchi Hirokazu, who became a prominent finance representative in diplomacies. There were other respectable alumni from our school too, but I only remembered his name since my father used to lecture me about him.
I sighed and entered the classroom. It was 2-A. I forgot to mention that I was a transfer student and joined here just to complete my high school credentials. My classroom was simple yet big enough to fit 24 students. It goes without saying that my classmates hated the very presence of mine in the class. Just when I entered, everyone was giving me side-eyes and gossiped among themselves saying things like...look that chuuni geek has come. Does that mean he will go on the trip? Gross. I feel bad for the group he will be in. I, for one, did not care for it. I picked up my window seat and sat there while looking out of the window, still listening to the mass grumble from my so-called classmates.

I was just waiting for the moment when I will be messed with. If I were to name some people who always loved to mess with me were Tomita Ryu, Matsushita Kioshi, and Oshiro Nampo. Just like society, the people in our class, divided into 3 divisions. The honor students, average students, and worthless students. So, by nature, the higher people would always look down and pick up on the lower peoples. I was without a doubt one of those worthless students. I might have been better if I attended classes regularly, but I did not and messed up my standings. Just when I thought, I might pass my day so and so, the bullies of my class approached me.
Ryu - "Oho? If it isn't the chuuni geek. What did we do be graced with your presence?"
Kioshi - "I bet he was thinking of something like Dark Flame Master!"
Nampo - "What the hell, man? That's super lame..."
I sighed and tried ignoring them, which aroused their anger even more. Ryu got aggressive and grabbed me by the collar and said...
Ryu - "Oi! Don't go ignoring me. I'll break you!"
Nampo - "Uhh Ryu, the teacher might come in anytime soon..."
Shiro - "...Leave me alone already."
I blurted those words out of frustration and gave them a fierce look. They backed a bit after seeing me like that, but it seems like I fueled their anger even more. Just when he was about to beat me, a certain person whom I hated even more appeared...
??? - "That's enough don't you think, Ryu?"
Ryu - "Miyata Yusuke..."
Miyata Yusuke. Ugh, I don't want to describe him since he is the total opposite of me. Nice guy, handsome, good at everything, popular, and strong. Yes, every girl's dream boy in one human form. After seeing him step up for me, every other girl in the classes were drooling over it. It was like they were glorifying him and would do anything to just get a look at him. Ryu ticked and backed off, giving me a nasty glare. I sighed and fixed my uniform.
Yusuke - "Are you alright, Hyotaru?"
Shiro - "Yeah."
I gave him the shortest and direct reply to which he simply smiled back.
??? - "Hey! Aren't you being rude to him?"
Shiro - "Huh?"
Came inward another troublesome classmate. Her name was Mizuko Akiyama. She was popular among the boys as well as girls, just like Yusuke. She was beautiful, elegant, and even a good enough student too. Though I noticed something unusual, I decided to ignore it.
Akiyama - "Don't you think you have to say thank you, at least? How rude can you be?"
??? - "Mii-chan, I don't think we should talk in this conversation..."
The girl who came with Akiyama was Rinako Tsutsumi. I neither talked nor spent a lot of time with either of my classmates, so I couldn't find bases to judge or describe them. But if I were to guess, she might be Akiyama's childhood friend since the times I came to school, I always saw them together.
Shiro - "Ah...''
Akiyama - "Oi! Don't 'Ah' me!!"
Yusuke - "It's alright, Akiyama-san. He just needs some time to adjust."
Akiyama - "O-Oh! O-Okay..."
Tsutsumi - "Are you going to go on the trip too, Hyotaru-kun?"
Shiro - "Mhm." (I nodded.)
Akiyama - "You..."
Yusuke - "Now now, let's all calm down cause it seems like the teacher has come."
Leaving on that note, they all left to sit on their seats as the teacher came in with a lottery box with which our groupings will be decided...
