The Internal Struggle

It was a short but sweet ceremony. Apparently, unlike most other schools, the student council inauguration was done in secret. It was supposed to be a private matter because the school wanted the former president to be able to impart words of wisdom to the new student council and with how much authority and power the student council in our school had. They also wanted to brief us on our limitations as well as what we could and couldn't do.

As I was handed the badge of the student council president wearing the formal attire that Chris has given me a few days ago. I felt a great sense of pride swelling in my chest. From here on out, all the decisions I make would impact the entire school. I could feel the weight of such a responsibility. As well as the pride that came with it.
