9: Nathan!

I quickly closed the door of my car as I got out of it. I looked around to find the nearest entrance to the mall, I immediately went straight to the door while I was using my cellphone to check my friends.
"Hey Caleb, on which floor are you up right now?" I asked Caleb when he answered my call to him.
"We are here on the 3rd floor, at the Cinema Zone"
"Okay! Thanks" after I said that I ended the call and walked straight.
I used the escalator of the mall to the 3rd floor when someone got my attention. I frowned when I noticed a man standing in front of a fast food restaurant. The man is in his side view angle and I can't see much of his face but his posture is familiar to me, especially his hair.
I looked in the front when I was up already and jumped off the escalator, I looked down again to look again at the man I had seen a while ago but he was gone already.
"Hey Darius "I was startled when I heard a familiar voice in the distance
I just smiled and walked towards them.
"Hey" I greet my friends when I get close to them
"Are you okay? Who were you looking at earlier?" Farrah asked me and I turned to her and noticed that the twins were not here yet.
"No one, I thought I saw Nathan" I replied lifelessly and I noticed the expressions on their faces seemed to change except for Ravi and Rivera who knew nothing about Nathan.
"Tsskk impossible" Kalila tried to convince herself
"As I told you I THOUGHT! Btw where are the twins?" I decided to change the subject because it seems that the effect of mentioning Nathan's name was still different.
"Ave said they'll be late because Azai is still asleep" Vivian told me
"Btw we already bought tickets for the movie that we will watch later since it was Vivians treat and it's still early, maybe we can go around to check some stores while waiting for the twins?" Ravi spoke and we agreed with his idea.
We walked to a clothing store and the girls bought some clothes, after about 45 minutes the siblings arrived.
"Sorry to keep you all waiting, hope we aren't late for the movie?" Avery told us that when she and Azai walked closer, I immediately noticed the small paper bag that she was holding.
"No of course!" Farrah said and kissed Avery on the cheek as Kalila and Vivian did also.
"Okay then can we go watch now?" Azai asked and I nodded to him
We walked towards the Cinema Zone and the girls walked ahead while laughing with their chit chat.
"Do we really need to hold this?" I heard Zachary complain to Caleb about the paper bag he was holding which was the clothes the girls just bought a while ago.
"Yes, you are in the group now so you get used to it every time we hang out, the girls always buy something especially Farrah" Caleb told him.
"It feels like they are our girlfriends. No way!" Zachary added which made Ravi and Azai laugh.
"Exactly!" I agree with what he said.
"Azai's lucky because Avery doesn't like to shop and buy things so he rarely carries her sister's things" Caleb added that made Zachary nod.
"Let's buy food first so we have something to eat inside" We all looked in front when Farrah talked to us and we immediately followed them.
After we bought a snack, we lined up at the entrance of the cinema. Kalila and Farrah walked first followed by Ravi and Azai. Vivian was in front of me and Caleb, I looked behind and I noticed that Avery and Zach are together.
I looked at them intently and it looked like they were talking, Avery handed him the small paper bag that she was carrying. Is that a gift?
I just ignored them, maybe they were just talking about school requirements since they were paired in one of our major subjects.
We went inside the cinema and we sat in the middle. I sat down next to Caleb and Zachary sat next to me while Avery was sitting next to him.
Azai and Ravi give us our snacks.
"Thanks!" Zachary told me when I gave him his and Avery's snack.
I just smiled and closed my eyes, the movie is still not starting so I closed my eyes for a while.
"Maybe that's enough evidence for you to believe he's a man" I frowned when I heard Avery.
My eyes are closed but I knew she was talking to Zachary.
"I can't believe this but thanks to you anyway, at least now I am more aware about what I read"
After Zachary said that I never heard them talking again.
"Hey, the movie is about to start" Caleb tapped me and I immediately opened my eyes.
The show is about to start and I'm starting to get annoyed with the screams of the women here.I hope it's really scary because it's just a waste of my time when it's boring.
I took my drink and sipped a little.
"Wahhhh" I was shocked and threw up what I was drinking causing my clothes to get wet, Zachary screamed so loud that it made me shocked from drinking.
"F * ck" I uttered to myself as I felt the cold liquid slowly flowing on my skin.
"Shet, sorry Darius, I didn't mean to scare you!" Zachary immediately noticed what had happened to me and even Caleb and Avery caught their attention.
"Maybe you should go change first so you won't feel cold" Caleb suggested to me and I immediately stood up from where I was sitting. I even heard Caleb calling me but I ignored him and just walked straight out of the cinema.
"Damn he screams louder than Farrah" I irritatedly commented as I walked out of the cinema.
I walked to the nearby clothing store to buy a pair of clothes so I could change but then I stopped when I noticed the person standing from a distance.
His side view while smiling reminded me of someone then I saw him waving in the distance. I stepped back a little without any reason while still looking at him but I couldn't see his entire face.
He hugged the two men he had been waving at. It looks like they are his friends. They started walking and he suddenly turned to my direction for a moment and I immediately turned around when I saw his entire face causing my heartbeat fast and my eyes widened. Sh*t. It's him.
I used to think a while ago that I was just dreaming but now I can be so sure that it's really him. I glanced at them again as they got away and my heartbeat quickened as if it was about to explode at any moment.
"What the hell are you doing here Nathan?" I asked myself out of confusion and the image of Avery's face immediately entered my mind.
"Fuck!"
