The heart of a jewel 

 This was the first thing I thought as I came to in a dimly lit room. 


 The pain in my stomach had been reduced to a light throb but for some reason the pain in my head was super intense. 


 I slowly pulled myself up and took a closer look around. 


 The room I was in was only Illuminated by a lamp on the wall. It was sparsely furnished not that I cared. 


 I put my feet down and tried to make it to the door but I started feeling light headed so I had to hold on to the wall. 


 I managed to open the door which led to a long passage. 


 I just kept going until I found myself in a room with people talking in hushed voices. 


 "Hailey!" D.F said and quickly ran to my side to assist me to a chair "you shouldn't be out of bed your injury is just healing" 


 "How long was I out? Where are we? And who are all these people?" All the questions seemed to pour out of my mouth as I looked around at the unfamiliar faces staring at me.
