In the Morning~
"Good Morning Ali", Anna came out from the bathroom and wished Alira who just woke up with a scrunched nose.
"My head hurts!" Alira pressed her forehead with both her hands.
"Go freshen up. We have to leave for the office." Anna spoke while blow-drying her hair.
"Hug me first. Come here" Alira got down from the bed. She took Anna in her embrace. "Good morning Ann" she sniffed in her freshly shampooed hair. "Your hair smells so good Ann" she looked at her with wide, energetic eyes.
"Thanks, babe. I-"
"You CRIED!" Alira howled.
Anna was caught off-guard at her comment. "No! Ali, Why do you say so?" She continued blow-drying her hair to avoid looking at Alira.
"Because your eyes are telling me that you cried," Alira stated. "And, as a matter of fact, you cried a lot!" She was clearly very pissed.
"Oh, so you are referring to my puffed up eyes." Anna turned to her "that's because I wasn't able to sleep properly. You know I don't share my bed as it makes me uncomfortable and I can't sleep so..." she lied.
"You have been doing this a lot nowadays Ann, Do you know that?" It was evident from Alira's face that she wasn't buying any of her crap.
"What" Anna gave her an I-Don't-Know-What-You-Are-Talking-About look.
Alira stepped closer to her and looked square in her eyes. Without any hesitation, she uttered, "LYING"
Anna felt a lump in her throat. Alira's burning eyes were still investigating her's.
Both of them stood in silence, looking into each other's eyes. Even though nothing was said, a lot was conveyed amongst them.
After a minute, Alira stepped back. "I can't force you to share things with me. But I want you to know that I am always there for you. So whenever you feel like talking, I am all ears" she stated calmly and softly.
Anna could no longer look into her eyes. She turned away and resumed blow-drying her hair.
"Anna I-"
"DON'T!!... Please" Anna held her hand in the air to stop Alira.
***Anna's mom shouting- Hey Girls! Are you up? I need some help in here***
"I am going downstairs to help your mother. Come soon" Alira left.
Anna looked at her reflection in the mirror. "I am sorry Ali." she sniffed.

At Work~
"So we are all done with the listing. Now we have to choose one location that suits the brand" Anna sighed as she finished the task at hand.
"Yup," Alira said while stretching her arms. "We should start looking for it now,"
"Yeah but before that, Would you like to have a cup of coffee?" Anna got up from her chair.
"Sure, Why not?" Alira replied while saving the document.
"Great. Come", Anna grabbed her hand.
-------------------
Both of them were returning from the cafeteria when Alira's phone rang up. It was Head-Jack, calling her up. She was called in in his office. She asked Anna to go ahead and start the work while she'll be joining her in a few minutes.
Anna was sipping her coffee and enjoying her break time. Passing through the meeting hall, her eyes went to a big, glass door.
'CEO'
Anna stopped. "This is the room for the CEO. Joel must be here" she mumbled. "Should I talk to him?"; confused, she went closer to the door and started peeping inside the room to check whether Joel was in there or not. "Why do they make frosted glasses?" she clicked her tongue. To take a better look, she stood up on her toes. Trying hard to maintain her balance, she was completely focused on her task.
She was so engrossed that she didn't even realize that someone was behind her and, even, was imitating her. Whatever she was doing, the person was imitating.
Anna stretched her legs to get a better look and that person did the same. She leaned forward on the door to take support. The person also leaned to imitate her.
Suddenly, her eyes went to two silhouettes that formed in the glass. One belonged to her while the other, she couldn't recognize the other. Instantly, it struck her that someone was behind her. Abruptly jolting back to a normal standing position, she hardly managed to pull up a straight face.
***A Loud Thud***
"Who was that?", she turned around.
"God! He looks mesmerizing that way too" she whispered under her breath.
