That strange girl

“I met Joel’s cousin yesterday,” Anna uttered.

“Joel! As in the C-E-O Joel?”

Anna nodded her head in response. Without waiting for Alira to push for the details, she willingly told her everything. And Alira was quietly listening to every word that was coming out of her mouth. “He told me that he has been taking care of her as she is suffering from some psychological issue,” Anna added tipsily.

“He is so caring!” Alira remarked.

“Indeed,” Anna touched her lips, remembering the feel of Joel’s lips. She was indecisive about whether she should tell Alira about this or not. A part of her was dying to share this with her best friend, to bask in the feel of that kiss once again through retelling it. But she wasn’t sure of what was keeping her from doing so. Was it the fact that Joel was the CEO of the company in which they both were working? Or was it something else?
