Chapter 4

"Yeah, so I have to get a job. To pay off my ticket." I said with a sigh.

"I'm sorry to hear about that Lori. It's partially my fault. How about I help you find a job and pay back half?" Julian said with a genuine tone in his voice.

"...Alright. You wanna start at the mall? You wanna go job hunting now? The sooner the better." I said. I wanted to get this over with as soon as I can so I can get back to my original schedule as soon as possible.

"Sure I'll meet you in 15?" Julian said with a few rustling of what sounded like sheets in the background. Before hanging up.

I've never had a job before but I use to help volunteer with my brothers. I helped around the field with the child soccer team. I'm just glad my dad helped write my resume.

Once we were at the mall we split up and see which stores were hiring help. I started at the sports shop because I grew up with 5 brothers so I know a few things.

"Sorry, I don't think we're hiring as of right now but take this application and fill it out, just in case." The man in the baby blue polo shirt handed me a sheet of paper and walked away.

Well, that's a disappointment but hopefully, I have better luck at the other stores. I have a few more stores in my mind. Hopefully one of those stores could hire me and even better Julian if they can.

I started walking to the opposite side of the mall due to the next stores being in that area. Just then I saw a little cafe with a sign saying 'Help Needed'

Though it's not what I expected I walked inside to apply. Then I realized it was a maid and butler cafe. There weren't too many servers only 3 females and 1 male.

"Welcome, Ma'am. Thank you for visiting Moshi Moshi, how may I serve you today," the butler came up to me and said in an overly polite tone.

"I was wondering if I could apply for a job?" I said slightly unsure about this. It's not that this would be my first choice but the sooner I can start working the better.

"Alright, I'll go get the manager right away Ma'am." before quickly scurrying away. I took out my phone and was about to text Julian.

Just then my phone dinged with a notification and it was a text from Julian.

'Hey Lori I found a store willing to hire since they're understaffed, their willing to give an interview right away and if they like us we'll be able to start working next Monday.'

'That's great news. I found a cafe willing to hire too. They need more servers.' This was great, 2 places willing to hire if I'm lucky maybe I could even work at both depending on the shifts I need to work. But also doubles the chances I get hired.

'Ok so just go to the store called 'Sapherone's' as soon as you can' and with that, I was about to text back before the little butler came back.

"Ok, Miss here is the manager good luck." with that he went back to waiting tables.
