Enraged Fairy

---Frozen Cloud Asgard's side---

"Wu Xuexin, you did well. He is much stronger than we anticipated plus he completely changed his strategy when he fought you compared to others." Chu Yueli said while checking if the disciple of her sect doesn't have any serious injuries.

While Chu Yueli was "comforting" Wu Xuexin, her sister kept staring at Meng, deep in thoughts.

'Was this really his full strength? It looked more like he was giving her face by extending the fight, instead of just looking for a good opportunity to counter-attack. Anyway, I should think of a way how to convince the palace mistress.' Chu Yuechan

---

'Looks like he became much stronger...So this is the second move he spoke about previously. It's far more dangerous than the first one. He was capable of releasing such a move even when he was just at Elementary Profound Realm.' Yun Che thought while holding his chin.

'He didn't even use all his strength in that move...I estimate that if he were to use it with his full strength, it would be able to give trouble to anyone at Earth Profound Realm...' Jasmine muttered while looking at Meng and carefreely swinging her legs back and forth.

'That strong?! I have been meaning to ask you this...What kind of attribute does his profound art use? I remember him burning my shoulder a bit despite me being immune to fire.' Yun Che asked.

'...You can't really call it an attribute. You are indeed immune to fire but just know that fire must have been created from something...something superior.' Jasmine said before she quieted down once again, leaving Yun Che with an astonished expression.

.

.

Days continued passing and both Hengjun and Meng have gotten into the top 32 participants. Most of the participants there belonged to the strongest and famous sects that once or more times shook the Blue Wind Empire.

Meng also noticed that Yun Che's body was quite sturdy for someone at the 7th stage of the True Profound Realm. He also found his flame attacks very similar to that of Phoenix. They weren't the real Phoenix's flames as flame imprint would be revealed on his forehead but they contained its essence. It simply gave Meng the same feeling he would imagine from seeing Phoenix using other lower-tier flames. No matter how lower-tier flames, it would still be slightly superior to its original.

Hengjun also kept using Tempest each match and Meng noticed that each time he used it, he would be more tired than before.

'I guess I forgot that excessive usage of a technique that practically turns one into a Wind Deity will also include mental strain that can be only recovered through rest and not pills, at least I have no such pills yet.' Meng thought with a slightly guilty expression as he didn't think of it much sooner.

.

.

"Brother Hengjun, if you win this match, you will take 10th place which is within the requirements to enter the secret realm. I noticed that you are getting worse and worse each time you use Tempest, you should quit it after that match." Meng said with a serious expression and low voice for just Hengjun to hear.

"? That...*sigh* I guess I shouldn't force it as my mental health was truly getting worse. It will take a little time to recover but I have no idea what will happen if I continue using it for 2,3,4 more matches." Hengjun clearly wanted to continue and see how far he can go but even he knew his limits. This time, he didn't lose due to his physical limitations.

"Burning Heaven Clan's Fen Juebi versus Iron Spear Clan's Tie Hengjun!"

The moment the announcement resounded, everyone started talking about this match. Some people believed that one of the dark horses would win but most people thought that he would be completely destroyed as it wasn't just about cultivation base. After all, Fen Juebi is from Burning Heaven Clan and he must have a much better weapon than his opponent.

And as others predicted when they got to the main stage, Fen Juebi had Sky Profound weapon in his hand which was much superior to Hengjun's True Profound weapon.

"You can still surrender but once the match starts, I won't be able to ensure your safety." Fen Juebi said with a "friendly" smile and closed eyes but his tone was ice cold and full of malice. Meng could feel large amount of negative emotions from Fen Juebi which made him narrow his eyes.

Hengjun just shook his head and aimed his spear toward his opponent without saying anything in return which was the thing that started the match.

Seeing this, a vein appeared on Fen Juebi's forehead so he slashed his weapon, releasing hot burning profound energy at Hengjun but he just dodged the attack instead of receiving it head-on.

Hengjun tried all his 3 moves but none of them really injured Fen Juebi and instead only pushed him to use even more strength which angered him as he felt humiliated by having to use so much strength just against the True Profound Realm.

Fen Juebi started using blue colored profound flame which was much hotter than his previous flames, making it hard for Hengjun to keep dodging as each attack covered a large area in the flames but Hengjun cleverly used his wind attribute profound energy to always redirect the flames a bit. He couldn't completely pierce through them but he could still change their direction a bit.

"Good! I will make sure you won't forget this day!" Fen Juebi shouted and suddenly from blue flames around Hengjun, a few illusions of Fen Juebi started appearing and attacking him. Despite Hengjun's superior speed, he was still hard-pressed to protect himself from the flames and random attacks at the same time. His body wasn't as tough as Meng's therefore he couldn't take even a single hit, making it much harder.

Others would be already completely sweating, facing such pressure and heat of the flames but Hengjun had a tranquil expression and only a few beads of sweat flowing down his temple.

"Hengjun! 40 percent, do it!"

When Hengjun heard a shout he looked in that direction and saw Meng standing with folded arms and attentively observing the match.

"Alright...Tempest!" Hengjun nodded his head with a smile before he narrowed his eyes and shouted for the first time. As if the wind itself heard his passion and desire to win, the wind from the radius of a few kilometers started rapidly gathering at Hengjun's position, completely extinguishing the blue flames all around him. When the violent wind settled down, no one could feel any breeze in the vicinity.

Hengjun body was enveloped by a sharp light green glow that was generating the wind in all directions from his body.

'Ugh, this headache again...I have to end it fast!' Hengjun's expression slightly winced in pain and Meng immediately noticed it.

'As I thought...this should be his last use for the next few days unless he wants to damage his mind.' Meng thought with a serious expression.

---At the side---

'This boy's profound art is also very interesting.' Jasmine added with an interested tone.

'I know...this isn't what he used against me previously. Actually, he had yet to use any of the profound techniques he previously used against me...What exactly does that "Tempest" technique do aside from increasing the speed?' Yun Che thought.

'This "Tempest" move instantly drains his profound veins of all of his profound energy but I have yet to figure out where that profound energy goes...In truth, it looks more like he is controlling real natural wind instead of creating it with his profound energy. It's very interesting but also leaves you with a lot of weaknesses, however, the boost of the speed is quite magnificent, not just anyone would be capable of controlling his movements at such speed without an appropriate cultivation base. This boy could be said to be talented when it comes to wind laws.' Jasmine muttered, just partly answering Yun Che's question.

-------

Hengjun rushed at his opponent while pointing his spear at his opponent, creating a small horizontal tornado around himself and his spear.

"Courting death!" Fen Juebi was enranged when Hengjun dared to even rush at him head-on so he released a few slashed of his blue profound flames.

"What?!" But he quickly widened his eyes as Hengjun's spear tore through his flames before completely extinguishing them.

Fen Juebi put his weapon in front of him to block Hengjun's attack.

*Bang*

The moment impact resounded in the arena, Fen Juebi's body was blown some distance away with blood flowing out of both corners of his mouth.

The Elder waited some time for him to stand up but he had difficulty just standing up so he declared Hengjun as a winner.

"Iron Spear Clan's Tie Hengjun wins!"

*sigh* Hengjun heaved a sigh of relief as he could finally end the Tempest technique earlier since it was causing him a headache. Right now, his body was in a completely exhausted state but it was still at much better state than his mind. He was about to slowly leave the stage under the glare of Fen Juebi who finally somehow stood up.

'I-I lost to someone completely unknown at 6th True Profound Realm...? I couldn't even get to the top 10...? All just because of this nobody...?' "...I...I am unwilling to accept this, you are just a nobody from an unknown clan!!!" Fen Juebi lost it as he tried to slash his blade at exhausted Hengjun's back.

'Tch!' Hengjun naturally also felt his hateful glare but he hoped for him not to cause such a scene right now as he was completely exhausted to defend himself. Still, he had some faith that one of the Elders might make it in time but...to be honest, he believed more in the person he trusted the most.

*WHOOSH* A sharp piercing sound resounded right next to Hengjun as something flew right past his head.

*BANG!*

Everyone's eyes widened as they found a large part of the stage completely ruptured, creating cracks in form of a cobweb with the single crimson spear in the middle.

*Thud* Fen Juebi's body has fallen down with a hole in his stomach.

"Juebi!!!" Fen Moli, the Great Elder of the Burning Heaven Clan, and Fen Juecheng, the young master of the Burning Heaven Clan shouted out when they saw Fen Juebi's body fall down on the ground. Fen Moli instantly rushed to the stage to check his injuries and when he discovered that he is still alive he heaved a sigh of relief but when he discovered that he was crippled, his rage overtook him.

"Who is arrogant enough to attack the son of Clan Master of our Burning Heaven Clan, interfering with the match!!!" He shouted and with his Half-step Emperor Profound Realm cultivation, almost everyone trembled. Everyone looked at the crimson spear before redirecting their eyes at Meng who was standing still with folded arms and his bright amber eyes looking down at Fen Moli tending to Fen Juebi.

"What the hell are you doing?" Chu Yuechan muttered with furrowed brows.

"..." Chu Yueli herself looked at Meng, wondering what is he thinking by enraging the great elder of one of the 4 major sects.

"The match has already ended when there was that announcement. He shamelessly attacked my friend who has already won and was exhausted from the fight against someone with much higher profound strength than him. I just taught him a lesson in the Elder's stead. It looks like his proficiency in profound flames wasn't that bad but it would do well if he could focus some of his attention on his manners." While everyone was holding their breaths, Meng replied in a completely calm tone.

"What is he thinking?!!! Talking to the great elder like that...!"

"Junior, you aren't the one who should talk about manners!!!" Fen Moli shouted and rushed towards Su Meng which completely shocked everyone. A senior attacking junior in the public would bring a big shame to Burning Heaven Clan's reputation.

"Elder Fen, stop!"

Seeing how this isn't going to stop at this, Meng just released a cold smile.

"You are just a trash at half-step Emperor Profound Realm, not capable of breaking through the bottleneck, what are you acting arrogant about?" Meng muttered which provoked Fen Moli even more.

"?! Die!" Fen Moli sent purple-colored flames in form of small flood dragons at Meng.

Meng watched the flames nearing him with a wide smile but his smile quickly disappeared as he sensed 2 similar profound energies from behind him.

Meng watched the flames with an apathetic face and as the flames were just a meter away from his face, they suddenly froze.

"?!! "Chu Yuechan, Chu Yueli, what is the meaning of this?!" Fen Moli questioned 2 fairies clad in white attires.

Everyone froze when they saw that two famous sisters of Frozen Cloud Asgard's Frozen Cloud Seven Fairies would actually stand behind Meng and protect him.

When both sisters approached each his side, Chu Yuechan observed his expression but she was soon shocked to find an apathetic face together with a hint of disappointment in his now red eyes.

'What...? Was he expecting me to step in or was he actually planning to fight him alone? Impossible...no matter how strange and abnormal he is, it's impossible to fight someone almost 3 whole realms above!' Chu Yuechan thought before redirecting her cold gaze at Fen Moli and her gaze suddenly became much colder than usual. Everyone could feel that she was enraged however they were confused why since people from Frozen Cloud Asgard usually wouldn't bother to even step in not to mention get emotional!
