Listen to me

"Oh," Tiara replied. "Even after I told you that she hates me now because I ruined her party?"

"What?" he whined lightly, "You were the one who said that I should meet her."

"Yeah but, like, somewhere else, you know? I mean, like… okay, I can't believe I'm thinking this but if I put myself in her shoes, and she comes here. She will see me here. With you. And she will think that there is something going on between her crush and the girl who ruined her first birthday party. And that would be… much, much, worse."

Percy grinned, somehow proud that Tiara was thinking about the romantic side of things. "You're growing up fast."

"I know," she drawled, trying not to smile, "Let's ignore that little detail and tell me what you're going to do about this problem."

"Well," Percy leaned against the railing. "You could hide. That's the traditional way we do things. Hide in the room or washroom until she leaves. That'll work out, right?"
