Reasons.

Minette;

Morning came once again, with the light shining through the already dry land of Abaddon. I close my eyes, feeling the rays shine through my face, suffocating as always...

“Fuck this shit.” I blurted out, as I stood up and prepare for another burden day in Astra. Never-ending tiredness and fuck up moment.

Thereon I went down to greet the woman who brought me into this messed up world and to my surprise, she wasn't there.

“Mother!?” I call out, expecting her to come out from the place she'd always been every morning. She didn't though, not even a low answer was heard. Where could she be early in the morning? And why did I not know that she's leaving today... that's strange.

I went ahead to check around our home for any clues on her whereabouts, and as if my prayers were answered, the front door creek opened revealing her full of sweat and tiredness all over her face. “Where have you been?” I ask, worried.

“A set of Lumos came knocking on our doors. They forced me out of the house to clean up after the mess they've done nearby. Not just me, but other Ava's from our place too.” she answers, eyes empty.

“But why did they not come after me?”

“Because I closed the wall before I opened the door for them. To hide you from their sight, plus, I don't want them to see you bare less,” she explained, as she walk past me to go to her sanctuary. They might have starved them, fuckers.

“But it was opened when I went down?” I questioned, referring to the ‘wall’ that we use to hide the stairs and some other place in our home.

“What!?” she choked on the transparent liquid she was gulping. “Are you sure?” she asks, one of her brows raised. Instead of direct answers, I nodded. And I swear, I saw her eyes change colors or maybe, not?

She then went ahead to check on the wall, “Your eyes must've tricked you.” she uttered. “Nothing had changed, it's still closed,” she said, confused.

“But that's impossible, I swear, I didn't touch anything to went down. There was nothing when I descend the stairs.” I insist, making her stare at me as if saying, your eyes, it's your eyes again. I loudly groan, as if I was squirming in a lot of pain. “Fuck my eyes,” I screamed before I storm my way out of my Mother's sight.

--

“Can't I just fucking follow you there?” I screamed, startling no one with my voice. I know it was risky, to come back here to this place in Abaddon where my reasons had started. But I just had to, had to let things out before I explode and even let myself be caught on my feelings and just free drive.

“Because things without you here are fucking unreasonable. I don't even understand myself anymore, I feel like I'm free-falling in the arms of those who had taken you from me, that I'm slowly drowning into their ways even if I promised that I wouldn't.” I cursed out, stumbling in the actions my body had been doing to express how I feel.

“ Remember how we use to dream about G'neration and how we're going to join them one day?” I question the thin air of Abaddon, “I fucking did it, Sov, I fucking did. But instead of feeling like I'm finally close to grasping my victory, it's making me helpless.” I let out, ignoring the saltiness of my tears, “Helpless because...every action given by her reminds me of you. Every fucking detail Lady Aletheia has reminds me of you, why is that Sovanna? Fucking why is that...” I cried out when a sudden rush of footsteps was heard from my behind-- fuck.

Whoever is behind me, even if the chances are low, please don't be a Lumos-- you can be anyone but not a Lumos...

“Who are you?” a familiar voice asks, making me let out the breath I've held upon hearing the heavy rushed steps. What is she doing here?

I slowly turn around, feeling the sense of coldness in my nape-- is she threatening me with a weapon?

“Lower your weapon, it's me,” I uttered, revealing myself to her. And upon knowing who I was, she stood there, frozen with her weapon still intact targeting my head.

A gun, she was holding a gun-- Sovanna told me about it, how deadly it was, and how powerful that within a second it can end your life... especially if it's beyond your head. And it wasn't the first time I've seen one, Sovanna always held one, and every time I'll ask her about it she'll just shrug her shoulders as if she was clueless of its origin.

“Why are you here?” she asks, threatening me even more. I held my breath-- not wanting to make a wrong move that'll make her pull the trigger.

“Umnia-- lower it now. I can explain, please.”

“Explain? No, for all I know you might've been an ally of Don's...” she uttered, stepping forward making me back away little by little. “I should've not believed her, I just knew that there's something off about you from the very beginning--”

she continues, making her spill out the truth on why she's always picking on me... she doesn't trust me, fuck.

“I'm never backing down to the Don's, I'm an ally of G'neration. I am a part of G'neration!” I screamed out of frustration, she laughed out loud as if she was mocking my words.

“If you are-- then how come you knew Sovanna? ” she questions, making my head hurts from the information she just uttered.

“What the-- how did you know her?” I question back, because as much as she's intrigued on why I know Sovanna-- I am more curious on how she knew her when she's no one for a G'neration important member to know.

--

“What the fuck happened?” Lady Erós screamed, upon seeing an unconscious Umnia in my arms.

Everyone rushed to me, and as soon as I was about to utter the reason, Umnia was taken by Lady Aletheia who was more frantic than anyone else.

“This is no time for your lectures, Leah!” she loudly uttered as she take Umnia from me.

“Stop screaming, we need to move out as soon as possible--” Sovanna frantically says, packing her stuff in a sack bag, she then picks up her gun before she held my hand to guide me out of the place we're in.

“Sovanna...” I unconsciously uttered, remembering her through the actions Lady Aletheia had just done.

Lady Aletheia froze, trembling with Umnia in her hands, I was facing her back but I knew-- it was my words that affected her actions. Lady Erós on the other hand stared deep into my orbs as if saying ‘You better have a concrete explanation.’ making me shivers deep inside.

“Minette...” she trails, uttering my name, giving me chills in the coldness of her voice. “Follow me.” she continues, leaving everyone dazed at the sudden turn-off events.

How did I end up in this hole?
