Heartful Connections

The sun was setting, calmly with its usual beautiful orange color. Peeta was about to leave her home; almost. He had already stepped down, feeling sad still thinking of seeing Marianne. He had already stepped, about to trek across the road to his domain when, as if his mind was conditioned for that moment, he looked, turned right. There she was, meters away from him concentrated on the baskets of onions and food materials she was carrying. She seemed tired, Peeta could tell from thy distance from her grumpy look. And so she paused dropped everything to catch a breath or two. Peeta did not want to call her name out loud. He wanted her eyes to meet his unexpectedly. Marianne was about to carry on with her trudging when she peeked up and saw a figure in the shape of her love. She wanted to be sure that she took the liberty of walking a few meters forward in anxious excitement. Marianne didn't have the most perfect of sights do to her short-sightedness. This made her squint really tight, and what she saw was Peeta. All hee feelings rushed in that instant. From metaphorically a mile away she didn't know whether to shout and run or run and yell in awe.

She chose the former. Peeta got what he wanted. Tearful joy. Marianne started running, forgetting everything she bought behind her, like a horse unable to stop. Her only focus was on the man standing up ahead. A man who was ready to embrace her with all the joy he had. Beads of tears with smiles that could stop a baby crying lit up her face. She was as close as 20 centimeters when she unexpectedly to Peeta, jumped on top of him. That was her way of embracing him. Peeta in turn held tight like someone would hold a pillow in between the legs during a cold night. They were reunited once more and nothing else mattered.

All that sounded was Marianne kissing everywhere she possibly could on his skin. From his eyes to nose to lips to the forehead. Peeta was joyfully overwhelmed with it.

"My love I've missed you more than anything". He said with his hands on her beautiful soft face.

"And I you." Marianne said with tears trickling down her now red face.

They embraced each other in the shape of a cuddle right there on the passage without minding viewers of any sort. There he stood, Marianne's old man looking at the new lovebirds. He only wished for his daughter's absolute happiness and it evidently showed that she was brighter than the sun there.

"It would seem as though you need help with those things over there my love?" Peeta said with his attention now on the little baskets Marianne had seemed to have forgotten about.

"Oh..yes yes yes, hell I've almost forgotten about them!" She exclaimed.

So both of them walked back literally hand in hand to get her food stuff. As Marianne bent to pick a basket Peeta obstructed her.

"Don't, I'll do it you need not worry, you must be tired" He told Marianne in a calm voice. She being obviously tired had to concur and so he carried her not so light cross.

He got back home and arranged it personally for her in the kitchen. As Peeta put every potato and corn in place, Marianne could do nothing asides smile at his back. Finally the joy shed missed had come back to her. Dark seemed light to her and light shined lighter. Peeta made short work of the arrangements and soon after, he was finished. He wasn't much of a romantic but he had unusual methods. Whilst she wasn't looking he subtlely sneaked behind her and wrapped his arms around her waists. It was unexpected to her because she acted startled but she could tell in less than a second from his scent through his neck.

"Oh!, look at you sneaking up on me like a fox."

"Well, I haven't been this close to you in a year. Perhaps I needed literal closure" Peeta said.

The kitchen wasn't empty, the beating of spoons against one another from the nails they were hung on made ironing sounds. He spun her to his direction gazing upon her with intent.

Every gaze moved his frame much tighter to hers. After the blink of an eye his Peeta's lips were locked with Mariannes. Eyes closed with both hearts beating faster by the second, Peeta released his left arm from her cheeks and made way for her back to loosen her apron. Marianne removed his tunic and top underclothes. He pushed her to the wall, by this time the ropes on her gown had loosened, both already panting.

"Do you think lovers are beautiful inventors?" Peeta asked whilst sliding his fingers down against her lips.

Marianne was loudly quiet with the only factual expression that she yearned for more of what was happening. He had subdued her.

"I know the gestures..." Marianne said in slow ecstacy.

"I imagined it all waiting for you.."

And with another another kiss from Peeta, Marianne went wild. She pulled everything from her body constricting her movements, as did Peeta and in less than a minute they were both without coverings. There they lay on the floor, entangled with one another occasionally separated by Peetas frequent thrusts inside her. She could only moan in helpless ecstacy. The time felt right for them both, and so they consummated their love in awe.
