Chapter 5

As the trio set out to the Fina Kingdom, Greed started to bother Kenji in small ways. It was either by hitting him in the back, stealing small items from his bag or being plain annoying with rambling. When Selenia stopped stopped her horse, and began looking around. Kenji had stopped his horse and Greed began to look around as well. As for Kenji he was confused on their sudden behavior. Greed felt that someone was watching them but hadn't spotted the stalker. That's when he saw her in a daze, he had never seen his captain look so out of it before. He tried to snap her out of her current state until he noticed that she was looking at something.

It was a small blue flower with a pleasant aroma. Not wasting anymore time, he quickly stepped on it causing its effects to wither away. "sorry about that, lets keep moving forward." Greed was upset that she didn't talk about her past but it wasn't his place to ask something personal. As they walked through the forest, the sun had went down with the moon taking its place in the night sky. The Greed and Kenji began setting up a place to sleep while Selenia used her gift of the flames to light the firewood ablaze. "you guys keep watch and wake me up in an hour, I'm getting some sleep." As Selenia fell asleep, Greed and Kenji sat around the campfire." If you don't mind me asking but I want to know what happened to the Honora Kingdom?" Loki didn't say anything at first as he didn't know how to answer. After some thinking he decided to let Kage know the truth behind that horrid day. "And why should I tell you, to me you just look like a puppy sticking its nose where it shouldn't be."

"Is it so wrong that I want to know more about her?" Greed simply finger flicked Kenji in the head to get his head out of the clouds. Kenji started to rub his forehead as the flick hurt more then he thought. "of course it is, you literally met her four days ago. If anyone had a chance, it would Gluttony. that guy sure knew how to calm her down." Kenji was now wondering what type of guy Gluttony was. after about an hour of chatting Selenia woke up and let Kenji and Greed sleep. That night Kenji dreamt of his younger sister, she had long flowing black hair and ruby eyes like his mother. His dream was pleasant as the two were playing but soon a storm pulled them away. Kenji soon woke up to find the moon still high in the sky and Selenia sitting on the ground with her scythe of flames in her hand. "if you want to ask something hurry up and ask." Kenji was impressed by her senses as he hadn't made a sound. he wanted to know more about her past but ended up asking something else. "how are you able to use magic?"

Selenia was knew this wasn't what he wanted to ask her but played along. She made her scythe disappear and started to explain. in the world they lived in every human being has a connection to one of the seven elements, but if your connection is weak you wouldn't be able to use magic at all. however if the connection is strong like Selenias then they would be able to use it at its full potential but nowadays magic had combined to create new magic. To the current age the seven elements that made up the world was now lost, making Selenia and her comrades the last elemental holders. Kenji started to understand, as he may be a general but he doesn't possess any magical abilities. "I have a strong connection to Fire but I'm unable to use the other elements as I don't have a strong connection to them. As for greed, he has a strong connection to earth magic and is able to bend it to his will." After their short conversation Selenia told him to go back to sleep. Not wanting to make her mad, Kenji went back to where he was sleeping. Once Selenia made sure Kenji was asleep, Greed stepped out from the shadows.

"So what are you planning this time, Wrath?" Selenia stayed silent for awhile, she didn't exactly know how to answer him. Greed sat down on the dirt ground, waiting for an answer. "if your talking about that greedy king, I'm planning on going back to see if they city improved after we deal with the Nashdra Kingdom." Greed simply sighed and was a little annoyed by her response. "you know that's not what I meant..." Selenia soon shushed him as something caught her eye. it was the same blue flower she had seen earlier. Greed looked at what she was looking at, without wasting a second he created a spear out of the ground, and threw it directly at the flower. it soon began to wither away again. "you don't think she's here of all places, right?" Selenia said as it wasn't like her to be in the middle of nowhere. Selenia and Greed both got up and examined the ash. they both noticed that the ash still had a blue glow.

Selenia was about to examine a bit more when something attacked them from the dark. "Start grabbing our stuff and wake up Kenji, I don't care how, Leave the horses, we have to start moving now if we don't want to get killed. they will only slow us down." Selenia said as she quickly grabbed her bag. As for Greed, he did the same and woke up Kenji with a kick. not wasting anymore time, Greed gave Kenji his bag and told him to run if he didn't want to die. Kenji did what he was told as Greed's experience was now serious. Selenia manifested a several small flames in her hand and turned them into several small daggers. She threw each dagger with great accuracy as the smell of burning plats filled the air. unfortunately the the plants were slowly surrounding them, making them no better then pray in the night.
