" I definitely got back problems till I'm about 32 I can feel it."
I want to say I slept well or even decently, but that would be an obvious lie. I probably got at most 3 hours of sleep, but that's most likely the maximum I'll get for a while. Whatever. Time to start my game plan.
I was thinking about it all night during the time I couldn't sleep. Hear me out for a second.
PLAN A
FIRST: I'd actually move my ass out of my blanket
SECOND: I should sneak out of the warehouse just in case of the possibility of being attacked by workers
THIRD: Walk around to see if any stores or restaurants are currently hiring.
FOURTH: Get a job and live happily ever after.
This will definitely work! It's such a solid proof plan, there's no way it wouldn't. Yup... let's do this!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Strolling through the city of Yokohama, I look around for any shops where I could potentially gain a job. It's something I really need right now if I have any chance of surviving.
There's no way I'm living in a cold, dusty warehouse for the rest of my life. Even if it's temporary, I have to secure some kind of shelter and get some food.
As I walking down the crowded streets, I pass by a large sign saying "Welcome to Yokohama's Shopping District".
Oh, this is perfect. There's definitely at least one place where they're hiring.
Entering the shop closest to me, the walls were plastered with pink and yellow, and blue wallpaper all around. It was apparently an ice cream shop, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was a child daycare.
There was an actual playground inside surrounded by little children playing in a ball-pit which was located in the center of it all. Screaming children left and right, distressed parents, ice cream replacing the floors. Yeah, it's pretty bad.
Ignoring it all as best as possible, I focus back on the mission at hand and make my way up to the counter.
"Excuse me? I was wondering If I could speak to your manager."
"Hello, You want to speak with our manager you say? That shouldn't be a problem, please give me a second while I call her over." The short black haired women spoke while following a spin afterward away from me to call over the manager.
"Hiro! Get over here."
"NO! I wanna keep playing with my friends!"
"We can come back later, but we have to go now."
"I said NOO!"
CRAASH*
The little boy not more than the age of 5 also known as Hiro crashed into the side of my leg.
"Owww Mommmyy!"
I bent down a little and picked the small boy up back onto his feet while checking if he was alright.
"I'm so sorry miss for my son's actions"
"Don't worry about it, he's just a child," I reassure the mother.
" I'M NOT GOING HOME!" I can only see the mother become even more frustrated as her screaming son only increases his antics.
Bending down towards the kid once more, I thought it might be best to help the mother out because she looked like giving up at any near point.
"Your name's Hiro right?" The little boy nods.
"Playing with your friends is really fun, isn't it? I understand that, but maybe you should be a little nicer to your mom. She still took you to play, even though she seems busy right? Maybe you should be happy that she let you outside in the first place...
because sometimes even getting out is not an option" You mumble
Standing back up, I give a small pat on Hiro's head following with a smile.
"You're a good kid Hiro, so please be nicer to your mom because she loves you. Alright?"
The small kid looks up in admiration and then turns to his mom while constantly saying sorry's and I love you's.
"Thank you so much, miss! I can't believe he finally calmed down." The young mother slightly bowed and apologized for having to deal with the situation, but I only told her it was the right thing to do.
The pair walk away out of the shop and just in time the manager finally shows up
"Are you the one, who was looking for me?" The manager said.
"Ah yes, hello. My name is Hoshimiya Yana and I had a question that I was wondering if you could answer."
"Sure thing, go ahead."
"Well, I was curious if you were looking for more staff and are hiring as of now."
"We aren't looking specifically for new people, but it wouldn't hurt to have another person join us. Starting off can you tell me how old you are? Then we can move on to the application papers."
"That's great! Thank you. I'm 16 years old right now."
The manager was in the process of gathering some things until she stopped at the mention of my age.
"Did you say 16?" She said in a stronger voice.
"Yes, Is there an issue?" I say worryingly.
I know I'm really young for someone getting a job, actually, I know I'm too young. If I remember correctly, the youngest age required to get most jobs is 18.
A two-year difference may not seem big, but in my case, there's no way I could survive for a least the next month.
"I hope you know that you'll never get a job if your 16. The minimum age for most jobs is 18. I'm sorry, but I don't make the rules. I could get in a lot of trouble for making a minor work."
The manager's expression only softens as she realizes that I'm stuck. I should have known that this might not have worked out, but I only focused on believing that it would without thinking about the problems that could occur.
"Is there any way possible? I really do need this job."
"I'm sorry sweetie, but I can't. As much as I would want to, I'm not able to. But don't worry, there might be at least one place down this district that would take you. Don't give up, alright?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
She said not to give up, but it's 10 pm, and every shop and restaurant I've been to only said no. It was more or less "We don't hire incompetent children" or "Stop wasting our time".
I've definitely been to most if not all the shops here. And every single one said the same thing:
"You're too young."
I don't want to give up, but I'm not seeing many options here at all. I think I should just call it a day. I'm starving and sleepy, but I barely have any money, and my current "home" resides on the side of a port in a warehouse.
Oh, wait I never checked any of the warehouses for any good stuff. I know it's not mine, but I'm kind of desperate and there could be some useful things. I heard there are all sorts of stuff that can be found in them.
From food to beds and blankets, to clothes, to basically anything. Maybe even... MONEY!
That's IT!
PLAN B
FIRST: I'll get my ass, undetected, or any possible signs of workers, straight to bed.
SECOND: Then I'll sleep.
THIRD: Then I'll wake up tomorrow morning and start searching all the warehouses starting with the one I'm living in.
HAHAHAHAH YES! I will SURVIVE!

4 days later
" I wanna dieeee."
