Chapter Seventy One - Sightseeing

Hailey's POV

I hope that I can keep myself from laughing out loud because we set Adian up, forcing his hands into coming with us.

"You guys are bad" Adana chuckle and to think she was the ring leader in this.

I personally didn't think Adian would go with us this morning, because off my shorts. I did choose the shortest of the seven that I bought with me and darn he fell for it.

Pointing at her,"hey you started it" I reminded her.

"What did my adorable sister start?" Adian walks into my room with a hand in one pocket, casually dressed in a soft kakhi pants and a burgundy button down shirt, with sleeves folded up to his elbow. On the other hand he held his phone and a Dolce and Cabbana sunglasses, that he never leave home without and his black jacket. I look up to meet his gaze, and once again, he totally rocks his overnight stubble.

He is really a very sexy man! and he's mines!

He walks towards me, "coffee?" he asks hopefully.

I gave him his cup that I ordered with breakfast and ordered three for the road.

Adian sat on the bed quickly eating his eggs, bacon and toast.

While he was concentrating on the plate in front of him, I stole quick glances at him. He looks so tired, that I now regret tricking him into going. I joined him on the bed,

"You okay?" I asked with a lopsided smile.

He turned to look at me, with sad tired eyes. "Yeah, I'm good, but tomorrow, we're staying in" he laughs softly as he finishes his breakfast.

I went to take the tray, but he kept a hold of it. "didn't you order and extra coffee?" he asks, showing me his empty cup.

I grab his hand, "let's go" I tell him, as Basil and Adana walked ahead of us to lock their respective rooms. I took our jackets and my handbag and phones. Turning off the unit and lights before locking the door behind me.

"I ordered coffee for the road" I informed him as Basil piped up during my conversation with Adian.

"So the thing is that, Bradford will be driving the tour bus with some of the other guests, but I opted to go with your SUV, instead. You know, more room for us and the girls will be comfortable" Basil tells Adian, who nods in agreement even though he's exhausted.

Mrs. Bradford met us at the desk, where our three cups of coffee were already waiting for us plus the lunch that she prepared as per Basil's request.

She took the tray from Adian handing him a disposable tray with three coffees and drink for Adana.

"My husband is out front, so be safe and have fun" she tells us handing the lunch to Basil.

"Sweetheart, I'll miss you" Basil chuckles as we wave goodbye walking to the front of the building to see Mr Bradford and seven other guests waiting for us.

"Morning and sorry we're late" Basil apologize to the group who didn't seem upset about the wait.

"Bas" Adian calls. When Basil turns around to acknowledge him, he tosses his SUV keys to a grinning Basil.

Basil pops the trunk, putting our lunch inside, taking the coffee tray from Adian as Adian walked up to greet Mr Bradford's.

"Morning" Adian says with a broad smile that didn't reach his tired eyes. He raised his hand acknowledging the others who stood around, looking at him.

I stood aside with Adana who was giggling as she spoke to someone on the phone.

Adian spoke in hush tones to Mr Bradford, who chuckles at whatever Adian told him. He looks at me with a twinkle in his eyes.

Clapping his hands, "okay folks, we're ready to hit the road" Mr Bradford says, opening the van door for the guest that's travelling with him to board the bus.

Adian, took my hand and clasp Adana around her neck, "come on and lose that phone" Adian advise her with a low laugh.

Adian, guided Adana to the front passenger seat, while opening the backdoor for me. He shut Adana's door, before joining me in the back seat.

"Keep it down and wake me ONLY WHEN WE GET THERE" Adian warned us.

Laughing "yes grandpa" Adana and Basil chorus together.

Chuckling softly, I moved closer to him, pulling his head on my shoulder.

"Maybe you should drink your coffee first" I softly, when Basil piped up as usual.

"Or I could drink it" Basil offered.

"Pass my coffee," Adian tells me, his eyes closed.

"I know we should have left him behind" basil mutters under his breath.

Adian drank the now lukewarm coffee in three gulps, reaching for mines.

"Oh no mister" I pulled my coffee from him."'Now sleep" I ordered.

"I thought you love me" Adian mummers.

Thoughtfully I look at his close eyes, "wow that's a tough one," I told him.

Opening one eye to peek at me, "how so?" he asked curiously.

"Oh you know, you, coffee. Now which of the two is my true love?" I said, tapping my chin and Basil bursts into bouts of laughter and Adana follows him.

Adian quickly sat up to look at me,"Reilly?"he asks. "Didn't you tell me that first day I met you at the cafe, that you can't blame the waitress for flirting with me because I am cute?" Adian reminded me.

I blush at that memory.

"Really?" Adana laughs.

"More like stalked" Basil says, as he kept his eye in the vehicle that we were following.

"What?" she made it sound like I didn't say anything before.

As Adian relaxed back, Basil starts relaying the incident form Adian's prospective. He told me a bit, but this sounds like a beautiful love story.

We had been driving for more than an hour, when Adana starts, fidgeting restlessly in the seat.

"I need a bathroom"
