Hailey's POV
This view is awesome, I thought as I stood looking over the Hudson Bay. I looked around to share the view with someone, when my eyes fell on one of the women who were on the tour bus chatting with Adian.
I couldn't determine his reaction to her, with his back facing me.
He spun around, facing me, but I couldn't see his expression which was hidden behind his shades, but the woman beside him was smiling.
My smile slowly started diminishing and once again, I wanted to turn away, but I couldn't because I was captivated, as Adian slowly, started walking towards me, nodding to someone behind me.
Stopping short in front of me with a smirk, He slowly pulled off his shades and I saw a twinkle in his eyes, as his shades fell to the ground.
He and I bent simultaneously to retrieve it.
Lifting a hand, "I got it" he said, stopping me, and I straightened up, looking down at his head.
Adian lifted up his head, his eyes meeting mines and I see his sexy familiar smirk.
"Wah" I gasp, covering my mouth, in surprise as I realize he was still bent, but now he's on one knee and he held a ring in his hand.
"I fell in love with you that very first day when I met you in the coffee shop." Adian started saying before Basil cuts him.
"Stalked and followed sounds more like it" he laughs out loud, as I blush with tears trickling down my cheeks.
I turned around and realized that all eyes were focus on us and that Basil and Adana were recording this.
"Me, look at me" Adian says, drawing my attention back to him.
Adian continues, "Your beautiful smile, your soft heart and the fire running through your veins have melted the ice around my heart. You already belong to me, but I needed everyone to know, to whim you belong" he says, holding my hand and sliding the most beautiful wedding band I've ever seen.
A solitaire Sapphire stone that matches Adian's eyes, surrounded by diamonds set in a heart, with diamonds on either sides shaped in the infinity sign.
"Hey, she haven't said yes!" Basil shouts.
Standing up, Adian looks at Basil, flicking him off, "She didn't need to, she's already mines" he shouted back, cupping my cheeks, as we stared at each other, before he crashed his lips on mines.
"Possessive much?" Adana shouts in the background, but with Adian's hands holding my face I couldn't turn around.
Releasing me, "I don't have a ring" I said stupidly.
"You owe me" Basil whispers behind me. I turned around to see his hand outstretched with a ring box
"Oh my God" I said throwing my arms around Basil's neck. "Thank you" I told him.
"Hey!" Adian says, as I spun back to face him with tears streaming down my cheeks.
I opened the box and to my surprise, I saw a beautiful gray diamond surrounded by diamonds set on a plain gold band.
I lifted his hand and slid the ring unto his finger, "I was yours, from the moment your sat down without an invitation." I said, my eyes locked in the ring.
Lifting my eyes, staring into the deep blue eyes of Adian Knights.
I tiptoed, still holding his hand to kiss him as he leaned down to help me reach his taller frame.
The sounds of applause around us broke the kiss, but we stood staring at each other.
"I love you" Adian and I said simultaneously, before he lifted me off the ground for another kiss.
"Oh my God, oh my God" Adana squeals in excitement as she hugs both Adian and I.
As Adian released me, Adana jumped, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist.
Basil comes and lifts me slightly of the ground for a split second, "congratulations once again.
Standing in front if him, "thank you and since its my wedding ring to Adian, I'll reimburse you" I tell him softly.
He turned to look at Adian, "your husband bought it, so good luck with paying him back
I held out my hand and stared at the ring.
" It's so well thought of, wearing stones to match each other eyes." I say.
Chuckling, "again it's that guy" Basil points to Adian who was being congratulate by Mr Bradford and his guests.
As Basil moves to congratulate Adian, Mr Bradford and his group came over congratulating me,, one by one.
The last person to congratulate me was the woman I saw Adian speaking to earlier.
"Congratulations, future Mrs Knight" she said to me as she stares at Adian. She knows who he is.
"Thank you" I responded politely.
Eying me from head to toe, "just a word of advise sweetie" she continues with a smile, but speaks in a malicious tone. "you're definitely not his type, so good luck with getting him to the altar" she added.
Stung by the words out of this woman's mouth, I look to Adian, who clearly overheard as he walked over, placing a hand around my shoulder.
Receiving the encouragement I needed, I suddenly felt bold.
Displaying my ring on my finger, by affectionately placing my hand, atop of Adian's hand on my shoulder, also displaying his ring,
"Uh, em, Ms.. in case you haven't been paying attention, these are not engagement rings" I smirked, watching her fake smile disappear instantly as her eyes automatically landed on our hands.
Taking a deep gulp, she nods and walks away.
Turning me around to face him,
"My wife is a bad ass" he chuckles.
"Adian we exchange rings, you have to allow me to reimburse you, since we're suppose to buy each other rings" I told him.
"Okay" he agrees, surprising me, because Basil seem to make me feel that I would have been a battle.
This was way too easy. Looking up to Adian, "I'm famished"
