Unable to go shopping because Adian found numerous ways to occupy our time, I'm settling for something casual.
Staring at my reflection, smiling. I spun around to make sure my jeans fit just as perfectly, as the last time I wore it. Adding my personal favourite color purple top to complete the outfit.
Between Mel, Caleb and I, I believe, Caleb was, the most disappointed because shopping day was cancel. He glared at Adian, every time he passed his way!
I didn't push it, because Adian was angry all day, so adding to his problems is not something, I want to be a partaker off.
"Hailey, do you have my wallet?" Adian comes into the closet, where I'm standing in front the mirror.
He stopped and stared, appraising me.
Smiling, at my casual attire, he drags the tie, he was just wrapping around his neck and flings it over the open door, of his side of the closet.
Unable to deal with this untidiness, I place the tie where it belonged and turned to see him watching me with a smirk.
Looking at him in just, his signature black shirt and black Armani dress pants, I also appraised him. Other than his unruly hair that needs a trim, Adian never disappoints in the looks department.
Looking down at my attire, I frown, when I heard him.
"You look amazing," he compliments me softly, as I stood in front of him, in a black skinny jeans, that emphasizes my curves and a purple spaghetti straps top, that clung to my chest, emphasizing my breast.
In college, I used to hide my curves with baggy jeans and loose T-shirts, but my roommates changed all of that and turned me into who I am today in the dress department. They taught me to appreciate my body, and Adian is actually the first guy I allowed close enough and shared my body with.
"Where are we going?" I asked, realizing that Adian down graded his dress code to match mines.
Chuckling mysteriously, "oh you'll love it." He promised. "My wallet!" He reminded me and I nodded, walking towards the bedroom where my handbag laid on the couch.
Taking out his wallet and my card with the cash that I had, I separated it into my front and back pockets.
Observing me, Adian, twitches his mouth and pulls my hair tie, loosening my hair as it bounces in curls around my shoulders, cascading down my back. My layered hair fell just above my hip line.
Realizing how long it's gotten, "we both need a hair cut." I chuckle, absent mindedly as I returned to the closet for a smaller handbag that fits my phone, keys, wipes and minimal makeup I normally travel with.
Moving my hair behind my back, Adian comes and shakes it loose. "You're not cutting it." He says possessively and my heart leaped, but I just smile as he picks up his signature black leather jacket, ushering me out the door.
Stopping just outside our door, "Adana" I just remembered.
Gently pushing me into the hallway, "Mrs. Har, is staying over tonight." He says, locking the door with a key. I am happy, but I am not sure I want to know why or what happened.
Realizing I observed what he did, "Mrs. Har mention, that Chubbs was snooping around and mentioned it to me.
Pretending to search my handbag, to avoid his intense scrutiny.
"Is there something in here that would tickle her interest?" He asks, curiously.
Shrugging my shoulders, I walked off towards the stairway and felt Adian following me silently with only the sound of his keys jingling in his hands as he keeps flicking it.
"Guys" Adian shouts from the hallway, "we're heading out" he says, lowering his voice as Mrs. Harris appears from the kitchen.
I didn't go into the kitchen today, so our paths haven't crossed, till now.
"Hey" I greeted her smiling nervously.
Nodding, "have a good evening" she says, "everything will be fine and I promise not to disturb you, unless it's necessary." she adds for Adian's benefit, I am sure.
Still unsure about our whereabouts and unable to convince Adian to give me a hint, I rest back in the passenger seat of his Benz, while he walks around to the driver's seat.
It feels so strange to be alone in a vehicle with Adian because we are constantly surrounded by his bodyguards and friends or family.
As he drives out of the underground carpark of his penthouse, I turn to look behind but, don't see any vehicle following us.
Something I have observed with Adian, is his silence. His road trips are always in silence and he speaks only when he needs to. I'm getting comfortable with his brooding silence on the road.
Loosing myself in my own thoughts, wondering if I should let Adian know about the files. Feeling my phone vibrate, I took it out and frown when I notice it's a message from Mr. Knots. I opened it wondering why he is sending me a message this late, when I did ask him to send a legal letter to my therapist.
'hailey, letter del. she was not impress but at least it's in her hand. Ameila also stopped by indicating that you have copies of your medical reports in you possession and ask me to call it in before releasing your inheritance to you. wats going on?'
I gasped after reading this message and I quickly responded.
'Amelia wants to have me committed to stop my inheritance from coming to me. Do u need the report to release it because I need it for the children's home you promised to help me with.' I responded and clicked my phone off sighing.
The nerve of that f****** woman.
"Are you going to tell me what's going on, or are you going to struggle and do it on your own?" Adian asks beside me. Turning, I see him staring intently at the road ahead and the blinding lights.
