"F**k it" I slammed my hand on the kitchen counter. "Are you f**king sure about this?" Raking my hands through my already uncombed hair. "Sorry man, I know it's true, but it's so f***ing hard to believe right now!" I exclaimed in frustration.
Frustrated with this entire situation that I've been dragged into, blindly, because no one is willing to explain the truths to me, to us. Hailey!
I looked towards the doorway, but she's either still asleep or dressing but I can't go into the office today, because I'm still bruised.
I continued pacing, with Gerard eyes following me, to and fro!
"I need to go to the gym" I told Gerard, because I'm restless and now I know, going to my father with this situation is like going up against a f***ing iron wall.
"I have a gym downstairs" a small soft voice, says from the doorway and I turned to see Hailey standing, pulling down the length of her dress, either subconsciously or, consciously!
"Are you f**king kidding me?" I rasped out, walking towards her, I turned back to Gerard. "Scratch that out, I'm taking my wife shopping" I shook my head, looking at her dress that fits every curve making her look so f**king hot. "For a new wardrobe!"
Those legs that was wrapped around me a short while ago! F**k!
Examining her closely, because I know I marked her, but she's covered them up.
Lifting my eyes, scowling at her, for looking so f**king hot, but the eyes that met mines, stared nervously back at me.
Raking my fingers through my hair, I leaned down and kissed her, on the lips, "you want some coffee?" I asked nodding to the percolator behind me.
Smiling ear to ear, she moved past me, "morning" she nods at Gerard, putting down her handbag before helping herself to a cup of coffee.
I scowled at Gerard, as he smiles back at her, "morning" he chuckles at my expression, "so you've got a gym downstairs?" Gerard asks, a gym in the building, peaking his interest.
"Yes, on the lower level of the apartment" she sits at the counter and I move to sit beside her.
Frowning, "the basement?" Gerard asks, "the building has a gym for the tenants?" He asks with a smirk. "That's great" he turn to me, "now we can really get hands on" he chuckles.
"Hands on?" Hailey asks, looking between the both of us, confused.
It's not a conversation I have openly, so I didn't answer, looking at Gerard, since he brought it up!
"Hands on?" Hailey asks again, taking huge gulps of her coffee, narrowing her eyes, silently questioning us.
Since Gerard clammed up, "I've got no idea what he's talking about,' I glared at Gerard whose innocently sipping his coffee, laced with brandy.
Hailey looks up, waiting for me elaborate, but that's not my style, "so have you ever used the gym?" I asked, impatiently waiting for her to finish her coffee.
Chuckling, wiping her lips with the back of her hand, "well it's mines" she frowns on confusion.
Now I'm the one, frowning in confusion.
Chuckling, as a bulb seem to go off in her head.
Lifting her eyes to the ceiling, "this apartment" she says, "actually has two levels" she explains, "so when I became health conscious, I had a gym installed with part of my college fund, which I didn't need after I got a scholarship" she gulps the balance of her coffee and stands up. "Would you guys like to see it?" She continues, with her back turned washing her coffee mug and the one I haven't gotten around to washing yet.
Smiling turning to us, with raised eyebrows.
I look at Gerard and he nods.
He's such a military brat!
Shrugging my shoulders, "well since we'll be using it, while we're here" I nod, "I mean if that is okay with you" I asked, following her out of the kitchen.
We followed Hailey to the back, passing through her laundry room, where she opens a steel door located at the back, leading to a staircase to a lower level.
Wow! She's got a serious hideout down here.
Hailey pushes open another wide steel door, that led into gym heaven.
Gerard moves past us, clapping his hands and whistling at the same time.
Hailey stood watching Gerard and I walk around lightly touching the weights and I turned when I heard her soft chuckles as she watches Gerard hugging a boxing bag.
Laughing loudly, "Basil will live down here, once he remains here" Gerard says something that I was actually thinking.
"Do you use all of this?" Gerard asks walking across to Hailey as he spoke.
She smiles as her eyes travel around the room, "not all of it, because I have no trainer" she admitted, her smile evaporating.
Gerard looks at me, because he is a trainer, gaining experience during his time in the military, training soldiers.
"We'll work on that" I turned away, because hell will freeze over before I allow another to close to my wife, training her.
I didn't miss Gerard's smirk and I glared at hi. behind Hailey back.
Other than that slut who cheated on me, I've never felt possessive about any woman, till now.
"Gosh, that reminds me, can we go to a game this coming Saturday?" She asks anxiously and I frown.
"Basketball!" She said, "My birthday gift" she reminded me and I nods slowly, hopefully nothing disastrous happens this time.
"Yeah, we would work on that." I pulled my phone out and message Caleb, to secure four extra tickets for the guys, cost not being a problem.
Securing the gym, we returned to the upper level, "we're late for the office" Hailey looks at me, "why didn't you wake me?" With raised eyebrows, she questioned me.
Why didn't I wake her? I can't answer that, but I needed more time with her, but she does have meetings later today.
