The next day, Crystal and Breeze walked to their classroom.
"Welcome everyone, I am Professor Ember." Their teacher said. His hair was wavy like Inferno and he had many burns on his skin.
Breeze nudged Crystal and pointed towards somebody.
"Isn't that the kid that tried to attack Icy?" Crystal asked.
"His name is Magma, he's an idiot." Breeze responded.
Magma gave Crystal a dirty look and moved his finger from one side of his neck to the other, he then pointed at Crystal.
"I see what you mean." Crystal said.
"Now, today we will learn how to use our power's for self-defense." Professor Ember said. "Choose a partner.
Breeze and Crystal both got close to each other, but Magma took Crystal by the arm and hissed at her.
Breeze shrugged and went with a Water Mage nearby.
Magma lit his hand on fire. "Ready?"
Crystal held her father's amethyst and closed her eyes.
A blinding purple light shot from her hands.
Magma was thrown back across the room.
Everyone turned their heads in awe.
Magma threw a fireball at Crystal.
Crystal made Professor Ember's collection of igneous rocks to create a wall.
"That's enough you two!" Professor Ember yelled.
Magma continued throwing fireballs at her.
Professor Ember got so mad that he was set on fire. It was so bright that everyone had to cover their eyes. "Magma, detention, now please!"
"But she started it!" Magma cried.
"Young man, you continued to attack her." Professor Ember said.
Magma left the room looking defeated.
Breeze and the Water Mage that she was working with stared at Crystal.
Crystal smiled at them calmly and took her seat.
Everyone looked at Crystal with amazement.
"How did you do that?" Breeze asked.
"I don't know, I just held my father's amethyst and suddenly he flew across the room." Crystal responded.
Breeze looked at the water mage and they both shrugged.
"I'm Ripple by the way." The water mage said.
"She was my friend that I told you about." Breeze said.
Ripple was a beautiful girl. She wore bracelets that were made with pearls, her blue hair flowed like a river, her light blue eyes were large, and she had a small tiny nose. She wore a yellow dress that didn't really mix with her blue hair.
"Nice to meet you Ripple." Crystal said with an extended arm.
Ripple shook Crystal's hand and smiled sweetly. "Breeze has said so much about you."
"Aw, you have?" Crystal laughed.
The rest of the class was free time.
The girls showed each other how their powers worked.
"The stronger the Breeze, the stronger my gusts of wind are." Breeze explained.
"For me, I just need water to be around me." Ripple smiled.
"I just need the ground to be there." Crystal said happily.
All the girls laughed, they were obviously disturbing the others. Most of the boys didn't seem to care, they just stared dreamily at Ripple wishing that she would go out with one of them.
The girls on the other hand were a different story. A group of water and earth mages walked towards them. "Hello Ripple," one said. "I see you've made some friends."
"This is my cousin, Hurricane." Ripple said.
"Is something wrong girls." Professor Ember asked.
"Shut up Fire Bealcher, no one asked for your help." Hurricane snapped.
Professor Ember looked offended but hid under his desk.
"They're not our type, you girls don't deserve my cousin." Hurricane said devilishly.
"Excuse me?" Crystal asked.
"You don't get to beat up Magma just because you're better than him at magic, popularity is everything." Hurricane smirked.
"Popularity is everything?" Breeze laughed. "Then you don't get to boss around Ripple, she's more popular than you."
Hurricane fired a strong jet of water at Breeze.
Breeze was thrown into a row of desks.
"Girls, please." Professor Ember squeaked.
Hurricane advanced on Breeze.
Crystal had enough of it. She grabbed her amethyst and raised her hand.
A blinding purple light blasted from Crystal's hands.
Hurricane fought back with a jet of boiling hot water.
Crystal could feel the heat.
Breeze flew higher into the air and blew as hard as she could.
Hurricane came tumbling to the floor.
Not seeing that Hurricane had fallen, Crystal released her full power.
The purple beam struck Breeze in the face.
Breeze collapsed in midair. She was floating above the students. An air mage flew up and brought her down.
Ripple and Crystal exchanged a look of worry.
