The next day was a free day, no battles!
The group decided to just hang out in the breakout room.
There were tables all around, a couch and a carpet on the left side of the room and a small.
Breeze, Ripple and River went over to a group of air mages.
Icy, Ash and Crystal went to a small table and just talked.
Crystal knew that this was her chance to ask Ash if he burnt down her house, but she was curious if he would say it on his own.
Ash and Icy were discussing their different realms. Both had never visited each other's realms because the fire and ice mages were sworn enemies.
Crystal waited for the right time to begin probing
"So, it's always cold in your realm, the ice mages live in ice caves and you have no leader?" Ash asked.
"Well, everyone is their own leader, and as for the cold-" Icy rolled her eyes. "Well, what'd you expect?"
"If that were to happen in the fire realm, they're house would be burnt down and they would have to live on the streets." Ash laughed.
"Speaking of burning down houses, have you ever burnt a house down?" Crystal asked, immediately realizing that it would be a stranger what a specific yet random question she asked.
Ash, however, didn't even blink an eye."In fact… I have. My father was sentenced to execution for marrying a water mage, but then my mother swooped him away in a wave of water."
"They had me but knew that it was too dangerous for me to be walking around the aqua and fire realm," Ash continued. "I was given to a family who lived near the cave realm."
Crystal tensed. "You were?"
"They had two daughters, a water mage and an earth mage."
"That's like you and River." Icy said gleefully.
"Yeah." Crystal said with gritted teeth.
"I was hidden in the back room because my new parents were scared that I would burn down the house." Ash sighed. "I wish I had met their daughters, it would make me happier."
Crystal gulped, she didn't know what to do.
"What happened after that?" Icy asked.
"I burnt down the building, I killed my adoptive mother, my adoptive father saw two figures in the distance, they were the ones who scared me causing the fire." Ash said.
"What about your adoptive sisters?" Icy asked.
"I heard they went to live with some earth mage named Amber.
Crystal couldn't take it anymore. "You killed my mother!"
Everyone in the room looked at her.
Crystal didn't care. "To think that I thought that the fire was accidental, you set it off?"
River looked at Crystal, "What are you talking about."
"Ash took our mother's life." Crystal snapped.
"What about father?" River asked.
"He's alive." Crystal cried, "He's alive."
River collapsed onto the floor, there was too much information to bear.
Breeze and Ripple both gasped.
"Is she ok?" Ripple asked.
Crystal felt so embarrassed, she ran out of the room. Crystal sprinted down the hall to the mini arenas.
Everyone looked at her like she had done something wrong.
Crystal walked into an arena and got ready to release her anger.
A fire mage, an air mage and a nature mage looked at her.
"Are you sure you want to fight?" The nature mage asked.
"Yes, I need to release my anger." Crystal urged.
"Ok, well no killing, and our teams were eliminated so we're just here to help train."
Crystal whipped out her wand and the fire mage gasped. "It's you."
"I beg your pardon?" Crystal asked.
"You're the one who killed my teammates." said the fire mage.
"She's the one with the wand." The nature mage gasped.
Both stared at Crystal in awe.
"Are we starting or not?" Crystal asked.
The air mage shot a gust of wind at Crystal.
Crystal stepped aside and waved her wand.
A purple light flew from the wand and straight into the mage's chest.
The fire mage threw a fireball towards Crystal.
Crystal waved her wand and a purple force field formed around her.
The fireball bounced off the force field and straight into the nature mage's face.
Someone knocked on the arena wall.
It was Ash, he looked worried. "What's going on with you?"
Crystal waved her wand and Ash was thrown backwards.
He hit his head on a wall and collapsed onto the ground.
Crystal turned back to the other mages but they were gone. She then walked over to Ash and kicked his shins. "Why didn't you tell me, why did you leave?"
Ash didn't answer.
"Tell me!" Crystal pointed her wand at Ash.
Terror filled Ash's eyes as he lay on the ground.
A purple jet of light flew from her wand and struck Ash.
He screamed as more and more flashes of light struck him.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and watched in horror as Crystal attacked the helpless fire mage.
Breeze flew towards Crystal and grabbed her arm.
Crystal reacted and elbowed Breeze in the stomach.
Breeze flew backwards and took Crystal with her.
"Calm down." Breeze said with a calming voice.
River rushed into the room followed by Icy, then Ripple.
"Wow, that escalated rather quickly." Ripple said, helping Ash to his feet.
Ash hugged Ripple around the waist and didn't let go. "She was going to kill me."
"You're safe now." Ripple said calmly.
Crystal could feel the anger building up. She clutched her wand as she became blinded by a purplish glow. Crystal collapsed onto the floor. Everything was quiet.
