Chapter Eleven

"Aunt ! Aunt!! [Klara keeps calling but no response ]. "Clinton ,aunt is missing from her room .I can't find her anywhere !"Klara said with a wince on her face .

"That can't be true Klara! Mum can't get missing because she is a vegetable !"Clinton added desperately .

"I'm being serious buddy ! I went to check up on her but she was not there ! I have searched everywhere but I can't find her!"Klara desperately said .

"What do you mean Klara ?! There's no way Hazel can get missing because you know she's ....!

Oh no..!"Marcial said .

"What is it dad?!"Clinton asked expectantly .

"Your mum has finally gone to rest ;she has vanished into thin air because her time is due .

Clinton ,this was bound to happen so I hope you finally accept it .

There was no way your mum was going to wake up anyway !"Marcial said taking a seat .

"I'm sorry buddy ! I want you to know that I'm here to comfort you !"Klara patted his shoulders .

"Son! We knew this day would surely come so please calm yourself down .It's not over son ,even if she is not physically with you ,I can assure you that her blessings will always be with you .

Mothers hold the hands of their children for a while and their hearts forever . She will forever remain in your heart son!"Marcial consoled Clinton who was breaking down into tears .

"Where is my mother ? Corazon ,didn't you bring her here?"Liza asked .

"And who said I would miss this chance of seeing my baby girl again ,huh ?"Elisa said from behind .

"Mother ,I missed you much .Please forgive me for what I said six months ago .

I didn't mean it ,I said it out of anger because I felt you didn't understand me .

Mother ,I love you so much and nothing would change the fact that I love you .

You will always be my mother !"Liza hugged her tightly in tears .

"Hey ! Enough already .You remember what I used to tell you right ? If you cry too much then your face will definitely crumble ,so cry less and smile more !

Forgive me ,I'm sorry too . Come here ..."They both burst into tears as they embraced each other in a tight hug .

"I know you have not eaten so I prepared blackberry and apple crumble for all of us .

After so many years ,we have finally reconciled as a one big family so I guess we should celebrate !"Elisa said while the maids helped her to set the table .

Liza ate as much as she could and when she was done ,she went to bed .

"Elisa ! I want to thank you for taking care of my daughter and giving her all the love she needs . I'm grateful !"Corazon said with a satisfied smile on her face .

"Corazon ! We are family and I would do anything for family .You and Ben have really taken care of Liza and I . Thank you for setting up the restaurant for me Ben .

It has really helped me !"Elisa confessed shyly with a smile too .

"Elisa ,you took care of my daughter like your own! I know you had some flaws raising her up but she has become one great and sweet person just because of you !

And you cousin ,you loved her like your own .I'm grateful !"Ben said hugging her shoulders .

"Liza is a gem and I like to take care of her !"Goodie said .

"I'm happy that she turned into a great attorney and is saving many as well.

Elisa ,you can stay here as long as you want because if you stay here ,my daughter will also want to do same . One more thing ,I want you to convince Liza to accept me as her mother .I know she only listens to you ,Jean and Goodie so I plead with you to help me . I need my daughter to accept Ben and I as her parents . I need her to love us just the same way she loves you all .

Please Elisa ..!"

" I understand , Corazon ,every mother would want to get along with her child .

To establish a relationship which is never ending .

Liza will definitely accept you and I will help you in that !

Just give her time and everything will be okay !"Elisa assured .

I felt bad listening to their conversation downstairs .Everyone was worried just because of me .Had I not decided to get water downstairs ,I would have never known that everyone was worried just because of me .

It was difficult for me to accept my parents and this life because I have never been used to it .

I needed time to get over everything and accept who I am .

After they dispersed ,I headed to the kitchen to get some water .

"Care for some chocolates ?"Corazon asked .

"Yes I do !"I warmly said and took the chocolates from her hand .

" Okay ! I will take my leave and let you grab some rest !"She said and began to walk away .

"I don't hate you Corazon ! I understand and I know that you and Ben did everything you could for my sake . Thank you for giving me a better life . You both are the best parents anyone could wish for .

I don't want you to feel that I don't love you . I want you to put that in mind .

It's really difficult for me to accept everything that has happened because I never expected any of that . A luxurious life like this is not something I'm used too.

For the time being ,I can be your friend if it's not your bother !"I mastered courage and spoke what was choking me from within to her .

"Of course dear ,I would like to be your friend .That is more than enough for me ..!"She said in tears as she hugged me .

"Thank you for giving me this opportunity in your life , my dear !"Corazon said patting my chubby cheeks .

"Corazon ,I want to see Clinton .I want you to use your charm to send me to him!"

Before I could open my eyes ,we were in a jungle where Clinton built his cottage . "I will leave you now since I guess you would need some time together !"

"Thank you !"I said as she vanished into thin air .

The place had not changed ,it felt as if Clinton always comes here .

If he does ,it means he was going through pain .

I sat at the banks of the river and enjoyed the cold breeze .

I began to recall all the times I spent with Clinton.

Those times were the most beautiful moments in my life .

All too soon ,this little cottage in the jungle had become my favourite place .

After a while of easing off my mind from my troubles , I wondered where Clinton was .

Wasn't he going to come here today ?
