Chapter Three

"Alright Melody ,looking at your state ,i can tell that you are fit and safe so I will have to go now because it's late and my parents might be getting really worried about me!"Clinton said ,standing upright to his feet .

"No Clinton ,please don't leave me alone!

I'm really scared and you're the only one I can confide in ,so please don't leave me alone!

If possible stay here for tonight!"Melody tugged onto his shirt .

"Melody, that is not possible! I have to go!"Clinton insisted .

"Clinton please don't go, I still need somebody by my side and if you leave me now ,who will I talk to?

Even if it is just for a while ,stay with me !"Melody begged in tears .

"Alright Melody ,I will stay for just a while!"Clinton took a seat lazily .

Through out the whole night ,Liza hardly slept because she was thinking about Clinton's whereabouts!

He had not answered any of her text messages and neither had he answered any of her calls.

"Where could he be by this time of the night?"Liza thought laying back in bed and trying to grab some sleep .

"This is just the beginning Liza ! Clinton fell for my drama about the fire outbreak !

Poor him ,had he known i set my own apartment on fire just to get his attention , i'm sure he wouldn't have been here but the sad thing is that ,he will never come to know !

I planned everything so well ,ha !

And tonight ,he will fall for my tricks as well!

So far , no man has been able to resist me and the charms I possess and Clinton won't surely break my record!

After tonight ,Clinton will be all mine !

Let's just see how I take away your love from you and get my revenge ,Eliza Blaire Carson; just watch how I take everything from you after tonight !

"Happy weekend! Happy weekend!! Happy weekend!!!" Jean joyfully said , throwing a pillow at Liza who was already fast asleep.

She woke up abruptly and in panic taking Clinton's name .

She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Jean standing right in front of her with an apple in hand which she guessed she picked up from her fruit basket .

"Jean ! You really startled me ! When did you arrive ?"She asked , dragging the heavy bedspread away from her .

"Few moments ago ! The party was so interesting that I didn't want to come back home but I have returned because we are going for shopping today and we are going to take the whole day to enjoy ourselves!

Don't refuse me this time because I will not accept it !

Get ready and come downstairs , I'm waiting dear niece !"Jean said ,rolling her eyes at her before leaving .

The only thing Liza had in mind at that time was Clinton and nothing else but she promised Jean to go shopping with her and she needed to fulfill her promise .

"Good morning ,sweetheart! How was your night?

I hope you enjoyed yourself really well last night ?

I made this breakfast for you . Let me feed you...!"Melody said , in a croaky voice with a tray in hand having the breakfast and wearing a slim-thin nylon dress .

"What is the meaning of this Melody?!

Why am I in your bed ?!;That too naked !

I said what's this ?!"Clinton blew the tray away angrily leaving Melody in a shock .

"Oh come on Clinton ! Stop playing dumb and innocent !

Don't tell me you don't remember what happened between us last night,huh?!

You wanted this ...!"Melody said ,in her croaky voice yet again getting Clinton more angrier and angrier !

"Oh stop it Melody ! It's high time you stopped joking around because I know nothing happened between you and I !"Clinton said ,dressing up .

"Oh ! So you're saying that I'm lying huh?! Really ?! So I'm a liar ,is it ?!

Clinton what are you trying to insinuate?!

Last night ,you wanted this badly and after having me, you are rejecting me now ,huh?!

Is it ?! Are you really a jerk ?! Can't you take up for your responsibilities ,huh?! "Melody angrily kept beating his chest badly but he pushed her away angrily .

[ Melody shows Clinton a video and various images of what happened between them the night earlier but Clinton fails to believe it ] .

"Melody ,how certain are you that these videos and images are real ?!

I'm not a dumb fool whom you can tamper with !

I'm sure you did all you could to just drive me into your bed !

"Alright fine ! I've heard enough and I can't tolerate this anymore !

I hope you have a nice day...!"She angrily began to dress up to leave .

"This cannot be possible, there is no way I can go to bed with any other woman ; there is no way I can do that !"Clinton thought .

Just as Melody was about to leave ,Clinton stopped her which caused her to push a satisfactory smile on her face before turning around .

"What ! Did you just reconsider your words or are you going to pile up your insults ?!

Come on ,reign your insults on me ! Go on ,call me a flirt and a big fat liar !

Go on .. why're you quiet?!"Melody said softly in tears but Clinton shoved his eyes at her irritatingly .

"Stop this drama already ?! Look Melody, there is no need to leave.

Besides ,we're both adults and we can settle this issue .

Tempers got raised and stuff but hey !I'm sorry for whatever that happened between us last night !

It was a mistake !"Clinton said ,bluntly with no emotions .

"Really ?! A mistake ! You call those moments a mistake ?

Impressive !"Melody threw a tantrum around .

"It was a mistake ! I'm not repeating that again !

It was a mistake and will remain one ! Stop holding a mistake at high stakes ! I remember nothing probably because you sedated me or something but .."

"Stop it ! Stop !"Melody raised her voice at him but he just turned his eyes away .

"Give me the evidence you have and in exchange ,I will give you a huge sum of money !

If anyone sees or hears about it , it'd ruin my reputation!

And if Liza sees it ,I will lose her for good !

I don't want to ! She's my life !"Clinton said , to her .

"Here you go, have the evidences you need!"Melody threw it to his face .

"I'm not going to tell this to anybody bevause after all you have offered me so much help!

What happened between us last night was just a mistake like you said and nothing else so there is no need to worry. I'll freshen up !"Melody said ,and headed to the bathroom .

[Clinton checks his phone and find various messages and missed calls from Liza and regrets not answering any of them].

"What do I tell you now ?"He muttered to himself with so much fear of losing her .

"I need to confirm if these videos and images are true before Melody backstabs me with a duplicate which I know she has made !

So sorry Liza ...so sorry !"Clinton's eyes welled up with tears .

It was great going shopping, Liza bought so many things and ate so many foods and enjoyed her day .

The shopping helped her take her mind off Clinton for a while . It was as if she was worrying herself too much about what Melody said.

"There was no need to doubt Clinton because there was no way he was going to do anything to hurt me!"She thought .
