Chapter Eight
"Alas ! Home sweet home !"Liza happily announced her presence once they got home .
"I really enjoyed myself today at the hotel !
It was great having all of you by my side today !"Liza said , hugging them individually with much love after which she ascended to her room .
"Oh my gosh ! "Liza exclaimed as she saw Clinton sitting comfortably on her bed in her room .
"Goodness ! You startled me yet again ,Clinton !
I'm sure you entered through the window again , ain't it huh?!"Liza angrily asked .
"Stop being dramatic okay ? At least sit down before you troll at me that way ..!"Clinton said still relaxing in her bed with his shoes on .
"It's my room Clinton Brown ;my room !And that's my bed you're relaxing on with your shoes on !
You just can't badge into my room without my permission and expect me to be cool about it !
That's not nice ..!"Liza trolled at him .
"You're right ! It's your room and you're my fiancee!
Did I commit a sin by badging in here ?
My goodness ,stop acting like I'm a stranger and a thief !
It's not cool either !"Clinton said ,rolling his eyes at her .
"Really ? Couldn't you call me before badging in here like a thief?!"Liza asked throwing a pillow at him .
"Catch your cool babe ! It's not like you answered any of my calls though .. ain't it?
You're overreacting ;so unlike you !"Clinton said ,standing up to his feet .
"Shouldn't I be ?! I thought we both agreed to give each other some time so what on earth are you doing here ?!"Liza asked ,throwing her eyes about .
"Oh God ! I hope he didn't go through my staff because if he did , then he'd eventually come to find out about my investigation and that can't be ...!"Liza worriedly thought .
"Come back to life !"Clinton snapped his fingers at her .
"I lost my phone and I don't know where I placed it last night !
I've gotten a new one though but I wanted to know if you have seen my phone around !
I need to collect specific contacts from that phone !
And oh ! I came here because of that but you were not around so I waited for you to come back !"Clinton explained while throwing his eyes about the room .
"Just a quick reminder,I came through the door !"Clinton added sarcastically.
"Ha ! What makes you think that you might have dropped your phone here ?You know what ? I haven't seen your phone around ..!"Liza lied with confidence and looked directly into his gaze but Clinton heaved a sigh of relief with a sense of sarcasm .
"What ?! You don't believe me ,huh?! Alright ! Go on and search around the room to satisfy your doubts !
Go on ,since I'm now a thief and I can't afford a phone of my own !"Liza said and threw herself onto her couch confidently.
"Ha ! Have you realized you're overreacting?
This is so not you Liza ;so not you !
I just hope you ain't doing anything behind my back !"Clinton said and threw himself beside her on the couch .
Holding her by her chin ,he leaned into her soft sweet pert lips and kissed it .
"Clinton !"Liza said and pushed him away while she breathed heavily .
"Wow ! You just pushed me away ! Strange ..!"Clinton said in shock and hugged her from behind .
"I hope there ain't no one right ? I just hope so !"Clinton said caressing her neck .
"Stop this nonsense!"Liza said with fury .
"Stop acting hard on me ! You ain't that hard to my charms !
Of course; unless there's something or someone pushing you to do all these ..!"Clinton added with a weird smile on his face .
"Those things exist in only your head ! We're still hanging in our relationship because of your mistakes so stop acting like everything is okay !
Don't forget that our relationship stands a chance of going down the drain anytime soon !
Sometimes ,I wonder if there's still "us"!"Liza's words went straight into Clinton's head and down his heart in shock .
"Great words !
You know what ? I don't want you to feel as if I'm breeching the rules we made so I'd leave through the window since your family is back !
I doubt you even want them to see me !"Clinton left soon after that .
As soon as he left ,Liza broke into deep tears .
"I'm sorry Clinton ; I'm so sorry ! Forgive me but I need to do this for both of us ;for our love and the family we would have in future !
If only you knew that I'm doing everything for us .. I'm sorry !"Liza buried her head between her legs and sobbed bitterly .
After some hours later ,Melody was calling repeatedly .
"Finally ! The psycho is calling ..hehe ! I'm sure she's feeling agitated !
The meeting was a trap and she fell for it !
Keep calling Melody until you are tired of calling !
By the time you will finish calling ,I will be done knowing your destination!"Liza muttered to herself while looking at her standing in front of the hotel in agitation at a distance.
While she kept calling ,Liza took advantage of that and tracked her location once she left the hotel and followed her soon after that .
"You're doomed Melody !"Liza muttered to herself once again .

"Argh!!! How dare Clinton betray me in such a manner ?!
He made me go there for nothing ! You will pay for this Clinton !"Melody said with so much agitation and fury .
"So what happened Melody ?"A masculine based voice asked from behind .
"He didn't come ! He played a trick on me !"Melody said with so much anger .Before she could say anything else ,she received a message .
*Sorry Melody ! I couldn't meet you tonight because there was a function at home !*
"Of course ,there had to be ! Among all the days ,why today ?!
All these rich people and their stupid functions ..! Psychic!"Melody stumped her feet heavily on the floor .
"Whose message was that ?"He asked curiously.
"Clinton's !"Melody answered simply .
"He was apologizing for what happened earlier !"She added rolling her eyes at him .
" I can see he has really fallen for your tricks !"He said tugging her hair behind her ears .
"Rowan ! I'm good at what I do .I never fail !
What about you ?!
I told you to chase Liza around like a puppy but what did you do ?!
Nothing ! ; Nothing Rowan !
You are such a loser ,you know?! If we want to become millionaires then we should do it with high vigilance and complete steadiness!"Melody lashed out on him furiously .
"Enough of your lectures Melody ! Enough !
You can't always be lashing out on me each time because you think you're supporting me ,alright ?!
I'm trying my best but it's not easy ! I tried getting closer to her at the party but that girl is not an easy prey !
I'm trying ..!"Rowan replied angrily .
"Stop trying and start doing something!Rowan ,we are dealing with two children from multi billionaire families and this chance must not escape us !
If we are able to extract some millions from them ,our lives would be dope and okay !
Try to understand me ..!"Melody added persuasively .
"Alright fine ! I will see what I can do about Liza but for now ,concentrate on Clinton and I will concentrate on Liza !"He added and gulped his bottle of bear .
At a distance,Liza and Jean joined hand in hand to know what Melody and Rowan were up to .

"I have their pictures now ! This is Rowan and I took some images of them together !"Jean showed the photographs to Liza .
"I have also recorded their conversation and I can't believe my eyes my eyes Jean!
At the party ,he was behaving like some kind of saint but he's such a bloody liar !
I thought he had good intentions but I was wrong !
The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know !
If Rowan has joined the mind game party then I will make it interesting for him as well !
By the way Jean ,thank you for installing the tracker on Melody .

I highly appreciate it !"Liza said to Jean after they rested outside the pub .
"Liza ,it wasn't difficult installing that tracker !
All I did was to teleport myself and everything became quite easy !
All we need now is to know the exact relationship they both share !

"You might be right !"Liza said with so much contemplations on her face .
"I'm sure she will use that video for something more than a normal blackmail!
Melody and that guy are smarter enough to plot any wicked act !
I wished I could manipulate their minds to know what they are thinking but I don't have such power to do that !"Jean said .
"Oh really ,can witches really read minds ?"Liza asked surprised .
"Yeah Liza! They can read minds and manipulate them as well for what they want .We can do so many things being witches !"Jean explained .
"So you have been reading my thoughts all this while Jean , ain't it ?"Liza asked wearing a doubt on her face .
"Haha ! I wish I could but I can't! No one can read your thoughts because you are immune to the charms !
I will need to perform so many spells to gain that power !
Don't worry ,your thoughts are safe with you ..haha !"Jean teased .
"Oh come on ! I think it's time for us to go home !"Liza suggested .
"No Liza ,they are leaving so we must follow them !
Get into the car ..hurry !"Jean said and they both rushed into the car .
After following them ,they finally got to their destination.
They both got into a mansion and shut the gate behind them .
"Do they have so much money to afford such a luxurious mansion ?"Liza asked with her face soaked in doubts .
"I'm sure of only one thing Liza ,they trap
rich people in other to collect a huge sum of money from them ! They use the money to buy luxurious things !
You know her salary as a attorney cannot get her to buy a mansion unless she works a bit more !
Moreover ,she's not from a well-to-do family !
If you want to know how she makes her money ,then we must investigate Rowan instead !"Jean said firmly .
"Don't worry about him Jean ! I will take care of Rowan and Melody at the same time !
Melody is trapped in Clinton's supposed messages but Rowan won't be able to ignore my beauty !"Liza assured Jean who gave her an assuring eye .
