Chapter Eleven

I'm so happy that you both could make it to the get together .

Oh come on and sit here .This seat has specially been made for you both .

"Thanks Melody ,I must say your style of welcoming people to an event is not doubtful at all.

You got the eyes my friend ."

Enough now Liza ,if you praise me so much then I will cry for sure .

"Awww ..."

Krystal teased and immediately the tears ran down the cheeks of Melody's face .

You know ,it feels so good to be back home and taste freedom of your own will .

After some time in jail ,I have grown matured now and there are certain things I won't involve myself in anymore .

"Shh ,enough Melody ,if you cry or sob too much then ,you will ruin in your makeup and beauty ,Liza hugged her with her soothing words ."

You know ,these are tears of joy ,Liza. I'm shedding them now because you made it look possible and about beauty ,you know you are on top .

By the way ,what should I serve you both ?

There are abundant foods ,drinks ,desserts and snacks .

What should I offer you both ?

'They both turn their gaze to Clinton who seemed lost even in the noise .'

"Liza ..."

Melody set her aside and spoke privately to her .

I know you know that,after everything that happened some years ago ,Clinton has it still stuck in his heart .

I know he hates me and if he did something to help me in my release then it was all because of you .

You don't know how I feel right now ,I feel like a crap for ruining in every beautiful thing you both shared .

And that's why ,if possible please talk to him on my behalf because I feel ashamed going before his presence .

If you could forgive me then I believe that he can too ,she said in tears .

Liza hands her a tissue to clean her tears .

I have already told you to stop crying .If you keep on crying then ,your make-up and beauty will be ruined.

Listen ,what happened two years ago has happened and nothing can change about it .

Melody ,we all deserve a second chance and you are not deficient of that .

Trust me ,everything will be well .You have a speech to give this evening ,will you do that in tears ,huh ?

Alright then .Stop shedding tears and let's move to what is of essence today .

Give me two glasses of kiwi juice and make sure to catch up in your make-up ,alright ?

"Thanks Liza ,actually you are the only true friend I have got .

Through my hard and difficult times ,you were there for me .

I don't know what I did in my past life to have such a friend like you .

Melody ,having you is blessing in my life .You have thought me a lot in my life and trust me ,you thought me the essence of second chances .

'Drowned in emotions ,they hugged each other deeply ....'

"Ahem ....ahem ....."

Liza cleared her throat to get Clinton's attention .

You know ,if you didn't want to come then you shouldn't have come .

Your face and the get together are two different things .

'What do you wish to imply Liza ?'

You have been quiet and moody ever since the time we arrived but then ,you seem to have forgotten that I didn't force you to come .

You came on your own and you are seated on the same table with me so can you please smile ?

"When will this get together end by the way ? "

I don't know ....Liza answered shortly and turned her gaze away .

The waiter brought the kiwi juices and served it to them .

"I ordered it ,so if you don't like it then ,we can order a different one ."

Thanks for the juice ,you know kiwi is one of my favourites .

'They were both destructed when Melody climbed unto the stage to give her speech .'

*Good evening ladies and gentlemen ...she greeted in her sweet toned voice .

For me ,it's a great pleasure to have you all here tonight .

You all know the face of life that I passed through some years ago but thank God that I'm finally free and i'm now with my entire family .

I feel so joyful that today ,I have got my freedom .It would have been impossible without the help of my great attorneys .

That's why ,everyone ,please raise your glasses and turn your gazes to the table at my immediate right downwards and let's toast to my great attorneys .

Attorney Eliza Blaire Carson and attorney Clinton Brown ,it's because of your hard work,your dedication and faith that today I have finally obtained my freedom .

You both gave me a second chance to life and that is why ,this evening is impossible without you by my side .

Please join me here on the stage so that I finally toast to my freedom .*

'While everyone had their gazes at Clinton and Eliza ,Clinton looked away and refused to go but Liza wasn't ready to give in to that ..'

Let's go Clinton ,I'm not going without you this time .

If you won't do it for anyone then at least do it for me please ,Liza uttered in her concerned voice .

"Alright then .....he said and they both rose to their feet to mount the stage ".

'The crowd clapped and cheered for them as they mounted the stage '.

For me ,it's an honour to have both of you stand by me today as I toast to my freedom .

You are my gems ,my hope and my light so thank you very much attorney Carson and attorney Brown .

" After Melody uttered these words ,she hugged both Clinton and Liza together ..."

Alright then ,it's finally time to toast to my freedom .

'Toast to freedom ,they happily said and the crowd cheered up for this ' .

"Melody ,we were lucky to be here .It's rather unfortunate that we had to leave so early but you know ,we have a case tomorrow and we got to prepare adequately for it. "

I know that Liza ,if I make time then I will be at the trial tomorrow .
