Chapter 28- Flowers & Kisses

--Alexandria POV--

"Happy Birthday, Val,"

"Was that my birthday present?" He asked and I happily nodded, still comfortably sat on his lap as his fingers that had been playing with strands of my loose hair paused for a moment before continuing.

"My birthday's tomorrow though,"

"I know but you insisted so I gave it to you earlier," I frowned and his chest vibrated with a deep chuckle at my words.

"You're just a terrible actress," Since I couldn't say anything to that, knowing it was the truth, I only rolled my eyes.

"Was that all? A single kiss for my 26th birthday?" I glared at his ungrateful self before picking up the handkerchief that I had just finished sowing.

"I heard lovers give each other handkerchiefs so I made this one for you," I showed him the grey piece of cloth and he took it, his fingers running over the messy flowers that I had tried to sew onto the fabric, along with his name that was written with a gold string.
