Chapter 44- A Fairytale Story

--Alexandria POV--

"You think you can beat me?" Killian asked.

"I know I can," Ezekiel smirked, pushing up his sleeves.

"When is this going to end!?" Darius yelled, frustrated as he looked out the window. I got comfortable on one of the chairs and stared at the two kids playing chess.

I played one game of chess with Ezekiel before Killian asked if he could play so I moved back to let him and he's been playing with the younger kid for the past hour. I'm not sure how many times they've played but it's a tie so far.

Every time one of them would win, the other would demand a rematch and it didn't seem like this cycle was going to end anytime soon.

Even I, a girl who never gets bored of chess, was starting to get bored. I guess playing it is much more preferable to me than it is to simply watch. Although, I do find the constant bickering between the two quite entertaining.

"You beat me once, you're not beating me again," Killian said, pushing his pawn forward.
