Chapter 89- Assassination Attempts

--Alexandria POV--

"Is Silas asleep?" Val asked as he came out of the bathroom after finishing his shower while I was busy brushing through my hair in front of the vanity table. His hair was running around his head in wet waves with a towel swung over his shoulders and loose sweatpants.

"Yeah, sound asleep," I answered. "He's just so cute. Sometimes I have to wonder if he really is my child or not," I sighed as Val chuckled, coming to stand beside me, placing his hands on my shoulders leaning down to kiss the top of my head.

"Dry my hair for me," He asked and I put my hairbrush down, turning to glare at him.

"Your hands look like they're working perfectly fine," I said but he didn't reply and only stared at me until I gave in. Standing up, he grinned at me like a little child and went to sit on the bed while I took the towel off of his shoulders.

"You're like a child," I mumbled.
