Back onto you

"Y-you...!"

"What!? Father-" I catch him just when he charges forward to latch onto the caged, chained witch. She snarls at the king, who equally growls back at her vengefully.

Oh I wonder...

"Father, please calm down!"

And he does calm down. There's a fire in his eyes as they look at her with rage I still don't have an idea about.

"Get me out of here, wolf!" she barks, and I simply ignore her petty request.

"Father, do you know her?"

"Yes."

Interesting...

"How though?"

"She was Jane's friend." he says. I grow more confused but stay patient to hear out to him.

"She-"

"I DID NOTHING!" The wolf-witch interrupts the king. He takes in deep breaths to calm himself down and I honestly appreciate that. I've never seen this side of the King before. He's agitated, raging, and looks like he's about to snap any moment and behead the witch himself.

"Can you read my mind?"

"Yes, father."

"NO!" her strong rejection takes me back by a bit. There's something really misunderstood between the King and the witch, it intrigues me.

I latch my hand on his temple and close my eyes, reading through his thoughts and memories.

Oh...

"Father..." I've seen everything. I slowly bring my hand back to myself and look at the witch who's now completely broken.

It- it wasn't her fault...

Nor anyone's...

-

"Ron!" I whip my head towards the bed, having just landed back on the floor of Daniel's room through the window.

"What?"

"WhErE tHe hElL wEre yOu!?! I was worried SICK!" I roll my eyes at my overdramatic 'male' friend. Sometimes I honestly do feel Daniel would do great in a woman's body than a man's. You can already see it yourself.

"Bro..."

"Don't you 'bro' me!"

"I had to go manage some business okay?" I quote the business in air with my fingers, plopping on the bed and laying down for a bit to retrieve my lost energy.

Daniel slaps my hand but calms himself down by little. We go to the hopping mall again. Or more like dragging Daniel back to the shopping mall for the day again.

And...done!

We're done with the shopping after all. I was currently looking over at the receipts I've received from the places I've booked for the night and rechecked my plans.

Apparently, I will be taking Jane on a very needed vacation from herself.

She needs it, deserves it.

And I'm a thousand percent positive that my efforts will never go to waste over that smile she's going to paint back on her face.
