Do you like waking up in the morning?
Just to take a few MEDICINES!?
Neither do I.
In fact, I hate waking up in the morning.
So, I find myself controlling my annoyance and clench my fists from hitting this specific male nurse who keeps blabbering about stuff.
He isn't even talking about me or the Royals!
"Alright, 'chatterbox', I think I'm going to go to sleep." I didn't say the word out loud, maybe I could cause problems. Though, I made sure I looked a bit tired and began leaning back on the bed, pretending to sleep right away.
"Oh, that's fine. Your body needs a lot of time for itself to heal. You've been a very brave man, but I personally think you should've not overworked yourself like that..." he continues but I can't seem to hear anything other than some muffled voices as I try my best of potential to block the sound out.
Imma cry.
"Ugh, man it's just 5 am... Shut the hell up, please." I mumble, praying the moon goddess for him to leave me alone in peace or I will die from over listening.
And when he finally leaves the room, my happiness touches the roof and brims even higher.
"God damn that man!" I curse out loud once I assume I'm safe.
"Which man?"
I startle and flinch on the bed, the creaking of the bed mixed with the sound of the door sliding open.
"Oh, Jane. It's you."
"Which man, Ron? You seemed pretty angry." she walks in whilst chuckling.
"That nurse, ugh." saying that, I roll my eyes and point at the door.
"Oh that one? No wonder he was smiling so big! He met the hero who saved people's lives!" I love how positive Jane is trying to be but I can't help but tell her that he's been eating my head since I woke up.
"Haha! Ron! You're such a bad boy!" her melodious laugh soothes my tired ear and I chuckle along.
"I'm a bad boy~" I sing like a child, but I don't care if I sound childish.
"Oh, your parents are going to visit you today. Probably during the noon."
"That sounds nice. Can you tell her to get me some chocolate waffles, if that's possible?"
"Uh...Ron, I think the hospital won't allow that—"
"I don't caaaaare!" I pretend to throw a fit, and the look of endearment is shown through Jane's eyes.
"But, they won't allow you to eat something else other than the food—"
"Nooo! I don't know, smuggle them here or something! Pleaseeeee!"
And at last my puppy eyes does the work done.
"Fine. Big baby..."
"Your big baby." her hand squeezes my cheek and the other is decorated with a kiss.
After she's done talking with my mom, I assume, she throws her device on the cushion and joins me in the bed.
"Baby..."
"Yes?"
"I'm still sleepy~" I whine.
"Hmm. You may take a nap, but I'll wake you up by eleven."
"Yes, yes!" I cheer for my slumber and nuzzle my nose to her nape.
"You're such a cuddly, small spoon baby girl~" she giggles at what I say and I wiggle with her in my embrace.
"Ron, do you always act childish when you're sick or ill?"
A doubt of the year.
"Not actually, but I'm not a strict alpha, I have told you this before. I just am being myself in the presence of my loved ones."
"And that's adorable."
"Uh huh."
—
"Ronnie, baby wake up."
Upon my mate's sweet call, I respond by stirring on the bed. A frown replaces my smiling facade when I don't find myself around Jane.
"Huh...oh" I realise she was sitting in the cushioned chair beside me. And I'm assuming she's been admiring my face while I was in my dreamland.
"Am I handsome?"
I ask, a but too straightforwardly which takes her aback.
"Y-yes, very." ah~ the satisfaction~
Her serious blush makes me grin and grab her face in my hands for a kiss.
"I swear you're the sweetest person on earth."
"You told me that before too, you know?"
"I know. I'll keep telling that to you until you get sick of it. And I also know you love receiving compliments."
"This is embarrassing." she covers her face behind her palms.
"It's not!" I chuckle in my place, the hearts in my eyes spilling out of the brim. We enjoy the silence in the room whilst being in each other's presence. The silence gave us room for our thoughts to flow in and illuminate the darkness.
Some either too silly or too serious for me to frown upon nothing.
A sigh from Jane's lips gets my attention.
"What is it, my love?"
"Nothing." is her vague answer.
"Something's definitely on your mind. You can tell me." My assurance was given to her in the form of my hand caressing her soft ones.
"I was thinking and planning of going to an amusement park since many days but...You know. I was announced as the Princess so I cannot enjoy my hidden freedom anymore..."
Oh.
"But you know, we can always change our forms when we're out in public. Anyone for that matter because that can work out if I try."
"Really?"
"Yes. If I can, then I can change the wavelengths and make you look someone different too."
"Oh my god. I've never been anymore luckier with you in my life Ron. I love you."
"I love you too, princess. My princess."
We talk about trivial things later on, her boring day yesterday when she had to go to the interview all alone, how the host kept questioning her about her personal life before the declaration.
It was absolutely normal to feel annoyed when someone is too induced in wanting to know about your personal life. The sense of security is lost when we say things out loud which are supposed to be to ourselves. So it was natural for Jane to clap back at the host and the scriptwriter or the journalist behind the show.
"Honestly, I proud of you baby. You've done nothing wrong when you made him aware of how you feel. No one has the rights to dig into your personal information at all."
"I know right. And more over, he was beginning to ask about our relationship."
"Wow. That's even ridiculous."
"Hmm..."
Immediately after the talk, a knock on the door follows.
"Oh. It just be your parents." Jane says and she's right because I feel their scents in the air.
"Aw, my baby boy~" obviously, it was my mom.
"Hello mom. Hi dad." I greet my old people and get crushed in my mom's embrace. At this point, I'm absolutely used to it.
"Oh my lord! Ronnie, my baby! You've grown so thin! It definitely feels like all of your blood was dried out!
"Momma...please don't cry. I don't want my strong woman to cry on something so wee. And moreover, you know I do that once in a while."
"Getting hospitalized!?! You NEVER got admitted in a hospital until NOW!"
"Oh my gosh, honey, stop shouting on that poor lad. He did what was necessary. I'm proud of you son. I know what happened. Jane told us everything." My dad intervenes to save me from my perilous mother.
At last, with the people I love when around me, I feel at ease and feel like I can conquer the world all in all.
