Synopsis

Pirate with one brain cell...on a good day? Check.

Extremely specific descriptions and random trivia? This story has it.

Wild adventures where no one, and definitely not our heroine, knows what's going on? Read and find out!

...

"Good day, good sir," she chirped in as cheerful a voice as she could manage while still being salty over the ship fiasco.

"Good day? The sun may be shining and the clouds may be gone, but today is anything but a good day," replied the pirate with a long look.

"Who rained on your parade?" went Polly.

"I shouldn't bother such a pleasant person as you with my tale," sighed the pirate. He cast a forlorn gaze towards the sea and it really would have been quite an aesthetic moment for a picture taker.

"Oh, well then, um, sea you later?" replied Polly who began turning away.

"Alas, it was just this morning when I was a younger man and had not a clue what evils would befall me," started the pirate.

Coincidentally there was a bench which Polly sat herself down on and a stage which the pirate leaped onto.

Notes:

This story belongs more in the genre of fantasy adventure comedy than fantasy romance, but since this is the closest genre I could find on WN, it's what I'm going with. Also, I would like to emphasize that fact that this story is lighthearted and episodic in nature so don't expect much drama!!

To preface my review, I have not finished getting up to date like I promised the author I would. It's been a while, so I figured now that I had the time I'd take the time write this. First off, I want to address the world background. The whole time I read, I was having issues picturing the settings. Were the ships large and intricate works of wooden art? Or are they stainless steel powerhouses? Maybe they're small modern fishing boats? I wouldn't know. There's hardly any real depth to the world around Polly, and I for one find that to be unfortunate. Then, comes character designs. I can't picture Polly as I write this, and most of the characters, save for animals, are just default character models in my mind, glossy white texture and all. The writing quality wasn't the best at first, but it did improve by chapter 11. However, what remained a constant throughout was the passion for the story in each sentence. It makes the story quite the fun read, unlike many others I've reviewed in the past few months. Now, comes the story development. It's. . . a bit rough. Just as the synopsis says, its a wild adventure where no one knows whats going on. It's not entirely a bad thing, but I think there should be a method to your madness, my fellow author. In other words, I think you should develop the reasons why Polly ends up in the situations she does. Perhaps a storm sets her off course, or maybe a team of bandits manages to steal the Birbalinda. Things that are out of her control, basically. It would still feel wild, with the added benefit of grounding the story in a way that makes sense, rather than her just being in places just because. As for your updating stability, its fine, but you'll definitely have to up the ante if you're trying to take this novel shtick seriously. With my constructive criticism complete, I bid thee farewell for now, and shall continue reading this when I can.

This novel here deserves a 5 star review from me. This plays out like an actual novel I'm reading, the paperback kind. Like I just bought the book at a book store right after I read the premise at the back and thought "hey, this looks pretty interesting." So far on this site I haven't read much pirate themed novels, so this is a huge door for me to see what this author has in store. I can safely say this is a greatly written story. Telling is done good, showing is equally good, to both the characters as well as the world. Keep on writing author, cause you got the foundation and everything. You just gotta continue this because I'm curious to see how this novel ends.

The overall plot of the story is interesting. Packed with adventure and determination. I admired the main character Polly. She gave me the Moana vibes and I'll like to read more.

First off I do not like reading and read the entire thing. Everything had purpose as if it was all a part of a master plan. A friend said it was good but man was it GOOD. I want to explore more of this world as it feels like a great place to escape to. It might not get updated as quicjly as you want but it builds, that tension fills you so when the next chapter comes out it Just surpasses your expectations and is worth the wait. Excuse any spelling errors, phone.

This is the first time I have read or heard about a girl wanted to be a pirate. The story has a new outlook and I like how she is full of confidence and zest. How she isn't afraid of buying her boat and face the hidden dangers. Looking forward to her journey.

Nice story. Real refreshing to see a young, female pirate on a quest. I did enjoy reading this book. The charaters are intriguing. Many of the plots were fascinating. Writing was good, except for occasional mistakes, which can be easily corrected. Keep updating.
