Caught Off-guard

This was Mike's first encounter with another out of the world human.

Not only she's fast in such a petite body, she even has this gaze where she was craving for blood to soak in her blade.

In the midst of his thoughts; (Anyway, why swords!? In such a modern apocalypse, why would anyone use medieval stuff!?) Mike wanted to shout it out loud but the pain is overwhelming him.

Clint who was in his back read the mood and immediately back up Mike as he swings his ax towards the girl's head.

Too bad the girl is fast that she releases her grip from the piercing sword.

While Clint and Mike are struggling the girl who takes a step back smiles widely mocking the two as she licks the blood from her hand.

(Such a face of insanity.) What Mike whisper into his mind.

Their escape is beyond the wall the two just need to get past the girl. An unarmed girl.

Clint immediately taking action leaving wounded Mike behind he tried to kill in one swoop. He isn't unfazed by the craziness of the girl as he still keeps his calm.

Swinging the ax the girl smoothly dodge with ease.

But because she underestimated Clint she got caught off guard.

The blood from her hands started to move in unification.

Not getting her attention the blood mix with a weird substance jump at high speed towards the girl's eye. Like what Mike did to Clint.

Barely noticing the attack the girl turns her head to dodge but because it's too late some of the blood pierce to the small part of her eye as the rest pierce her ear.

Catching up with a combo attack, Clint brought out his knife and stabbed the girl's stomach. Not stopping there he carved the knife vigorously inside to make sure the girl will not be alive once the knife has pulled out.

As soon it finishes Mike already remove the sword from his body and equip it on his both hand.

(Holy shit.) Having experienced a real-life sword fight he felt kinda excited for some reason.

Looking at the girl's corpse Clint is already gone.

"Oy wait!" Jumping down the wall Mike tried to catch up to Clint.

However, landing onto another side of the wall the only thing he could see was his face touching the mud as his consciousness fade in an instant.

The last thing he saw was Clint also pinned to the ground by shadowed figures who are only to be shown in the later story.

(Why again...) Having used to losing his consciousness from time to time Mike immediately formed up his body into a fetal position and surround himself with a weird substance that protects him away from danger. But because there's no pressure on the surface only a few of his substances stick into his skin, barely visible to one's eyes.

Mike expects to wake up into the garbage void but once his eyes opened, what he first see was Clint tied up onto the wall as they are both separated between this thick glass.

Looking around he saw himself also tied onto the wall but unlike Clint, he felt that his body has been carefully dragged here that there's no dirt in his clothes.

They are inside the room but what room...

(Thinkin back only someone like Clint can beat us down to drag us here in this shitty room.)

As soon he started to regain conscious people appeared to restrain him more.

The sounds of rustling armor and sounds of nuzzling noise from the people's mouths can be heard clearly in this room.

They are fully equipped from head to toes with something like medieval armor while mixing with modern military armor.

One would think they are guards but unfortunately, they are not....

Between the rustling armor of people, one stands out among them.

The girl from earlier. There is signs of bandages from her stomach, her eye, and her ear. She was indeed a persistent one as Mike smiles at the girl.

"Holy shit another weirdo," mock Mike.

The girl didn't respond nor take the mock seriously as she continues to command the people to carry Mike while tied.

Having no idea where he would go Mike drips a little of his weird substance onto the ground without making attention.

Like sweat from his body, no one would notice the weird liquid.

Taking the last peek at Clint who is still unconscious Mike prays for both of their safety.

Mike didn't stop pestering the girl.

Sensing the deep lust and bloodthirst from the girl Mike could guess that this will end wrong.

(If you want to *that* girl then I don't mind.) Slip in Mike's thought.

The people carrying Mike climb upstairs as the light from outside finally came into view as Mike realizes that he was in the basement.

The basement was not big for the people carrying him to walk for a half minute. The reason it takes too long because they are carrying Mike. Not to mention how careful they are...

"Hey, can anyone tell me what's going on?"

Of course... No one would dare to speak.

Sighing in annoyance Mike only just looks up into the ceiling without much choice.

From Clint's reaction, he knows what's up in this shit place.

He kind of gets it now why Clint have this bitter face when he mentions he wanted to go to a human settlement.

Through these years of disappearance just what in the world really happened? Mike wanted to ask others perspective but it looks like Clint is the only who is still sane- barely sane.

(Oh yeah, the lady(Heidi)...She looks sane.) Remembering the lady from earlier... He guesses that Heidi must be part of this operation.

The people carrying him didn't stop climbing up the stairs as they reach the fourth floor of the place.

Observing the scenery Mike notice this place is clean, unlike others.

(This is...)

One thing he could only guess...

"Mansion, huh..."
