Not having much of a choice Jane Walker was forced into a path due to circumstances. She realized life wasn't so pleasant when she was not in control. The spoon in my hand trembled, a gleam of harsh sweat ran down my forehead although the rain made sure the atmosphere was cold. 


I flinched, taking a step back as the banging got louder, then I heard a voice thundering on my ears. 


I was surprised or confused, one of the two. ' Should I be concerned? ' 


I opened the door and I could hear his raspy breaths as his gaze flickered from me to the side like something or someone was supposed to be there. 


" Is everything... O-okay? " He questioned, his eyes hovering over my shoulder. 


I cooked a brow at the soaked man and realized that I still had a spoon pointed at him. I quickly flipped it behind me. 


" Wh... " I blinked several times trying to adjust when Niklaus stormed my way. His arms embraced me, sucking the air out of my lungs. 


Niklaus held onto me like holding me wasn't enough. The feeling of his body being pressed against mine made me self conscious.
