I wrapped my hands around my knees as i shivered. My teeth clattered and i shook. She hadn't even bothered to chain me. There was no way i could escape. I was in a cave underneath the palace. One i never knew existed. All i could see was darkness and all i could hear was the scream of the Fae across my new prison. An endless scream of pleas to kill it and make the pain stop. I could not. It was but a child. She gutted him, waited for him to regenerate and gutted him again. She made me watch as she did it everyday knowing my soft spot for children. I watched, no longer able to feel the pain the child felt. For four months, the child had pleaded for mercy and cried for his mother. Khthonia, from the Court of water, he'd said when i asked him on my second day with him. I had pleaded for mercy for him also until i lost feeling. I'd stopped counting his days by the new change of clothes Elpida wore.
