Charlie is a shy but tough girl. She's a 'lil chubby and a loner. She only has two friends. Her best friend Dara and Dara's younger brother Caleb. She wasn't bullied or anything but no one really takes the time to know her.  She has a huge crush on Damien, the brooding art student. But he seems oblivious. Charlie wants to be noticed by Damien, but it's harder than it sounds. Little does she know, somebody else has set his sights on her. The last person she would guess to be in love with her. Who is this person and will she give him a chance? Or would it be too weird?

PRETTY BOY

I stared at Caleb's skinny form as he hobbled, rather comically towards the parking lot. What's eating him? I shrugged as I walked off to my locker to get ready to go home. Dara would be wrapping up the cheerleading practice. I put the books I would need for homework in my bag and went off to the field to get Dara.

I stared at my beaten up face in the mirror and sighed. Grandma and Dara were still out, which was a relief. I sighed and just accepted the fact that after one look at my face, grandma would be in a warpath. I shuddered at the thought. Well, it wouldn't be the first time. 


I threw myself on the bed and stared at the ceiling. My body hurt and bruised. The warm bath I took just now helped my aching body a lil bit, so it wasn't so bad. Just then the phone rang. I groaned as I peeled myself off the bed and walked out to the family room to answer it.
