What our friends are for
"OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS!!" the girls screamed in terror, while the boys are shocked at the same time bewildered by the scene they saw.
Sarah who peeked first was so frightened she lost consciousness, Gella cried at Frost's shoulders trembling with fear, while on the other hand, Calista shuddered with fear but held herself back afterwards.
"Hon! hey, open your eyes." Denver is trying to wake Sarah, afraid that she might not wake up and leave him alone. Talk about overreacting boyfriend.
"Relax, Den. Sarah only lost her consciousness so don't be overreacting she'll wake up later. Now, go carry her to bed and I'll explain our current situation." Zeus serious but calmly said to Denver.
"HUHUHUHU!! Love, are we gonna die?" Gella hysterically asks Frost, hugging him so tight like she was afraid that soon will be their deaths.
"No love, we will not die, I assure you that." Frost returned his girlfriend's tight hug, assuring her that nothing bad will happen to them.
"Now Zeus, you better begin explaining to us, what the heck is happening?!!" Maximus coldly command at Zeus who is sitting beside his girlfriend, Calista.
"I'm sorry guys, because of me this shit happened. I should not have been reckless, If only I searched harder, maybe, just maybe this disaster might never start in the first place."
"What do you mean that these dreadful events are happening because of you?" Maximus asked, "what are you hiding Zeus? Tell us."
Zeus sigh and begin with his explanation.
"Do you remember guys the history about the supercontinent? The time when the seven continents are connected by ice bridges?" Zeus asked.
"Yeah, what about it?" Frost replied.
"There was a conflict between kingdoms during those times. That conflict provoked warfare, though, we never learn what was the controversy that made them fight with one another, right?"
"Yes, because nothing is stated in history about it," Calista said.
"That controversy which leads the kingdoms to fight is because of the existence of the Imperial Empire, my home, kingdoms envied the empire because of its prosperity and wealth, making the Empire stature grand among others. They wanted that kind of power for themselves, but knowing how powerful my country was, they began to conquer the other kingdoms hoping to someday conquer my country with the added soldiers from the kingdoms they vanquished. Seeing the greed of the different kingdoms, my great-great-grandfather the king, decided to hide our country from everyone, this act was done with the use of our advanced technology, there is no written history about this, because again with the advancement of our technology, we manage to erase all evidence and documentation about us." Zeus poses for a second taking a break from the tiring speaking then he continued, "The last couple of months, my father the current king, given me a mission to get rid of the psychotic scientist whose doing illegal experiments on humans making them carnivorous monsters like what we have seen just now. I was looking for his laboratory for months now, unfortunately, I failed and now the test subjects are on the loose, slaughtering and turning people to zombies as what you call it. I'm so sorry guys if only I—"
Zeus was cut speaking by his girlfriend, Calista.
"Oh, babe. You don't have to say sorry repeatedly, We know you did you're best to stop this Apocalyptic mess. It just that, things can happen the way we don't want them to be. Although, what will happen to those who got bitten by a zombie? Are they going to be cured?"
"I'm afraid not babe, there is no antidote made and sad to say that I don't have enough data about the virus so I can't even make one," Zeus explained.
"Are we going to be stuck here forever guys?!" Gella asks them, she was now calm but worried still.
"Well, we're good for a month to stay here in the treehouse, all we need to do is stay here and think about how we can escape after we run out of food. Thank goodness this treehouse is made to be soundproof and has tinted windows." Zeus assures them.
They were relieved but worried at the same time, "Zeus, our families what will happen to them?" Frost asks him, worry is can be seen in his face.
"Go call them to see if they were alright," instead of Zeus, Maximus said to them.
Nodding, "Max is right guys, the outbreak is at this area first, so you're families' locations are not yet invaded, and the government will do everything they can to rescue them to safety by now but go call them and tell them to stay on their houses and lock it securely so nothing will pass through. It's too risky to go outside, the military won't be able to protect them all when zombies attacked." Zeus warned them.
"Ok," they said and contact their families.
Calista called her Auntie to check if she was ok,
Phone Conversation:
Calista: Hello Auntie, are you safe? There's a zombie outbreak and I was worried if you're alright.
Auntie: *sniff* Calista is that you?! Are you alright?! Have you been hurt?! I'm sorry Calista for mistreating you, I never intended to *sniff* hurt you but I was hurt in the thought that because of you, *sniff* my dear Sister died, please forgive me Calista, forgive your evil auntie for every wrongdoing I did to you. I love you my dear niece but I'm afraid I'm going to leave you already, I got bitten by a zombie and I don't have a choice but to kill myself so I won't hurt anyone else. Again, forgive and I love you so much, niece.
Calista: NO!! AUNTIE PLEASE DON'T!!!
*toot* *toot* *toot*
End of Conversation
Calista tried to stop her aunt but it's too late, she hangs up the phone. Calista attempted to call her again but it's out of coverage.
"Zeus, my Auntie is gone *sniff* what will I do now?" Calista sobbed and pain is visible to her eyes.
"Shhh, don't cry babe, everything will be alright, I'm here for you always so don't forget that you're not alone, I will never leave you alone," Zeus assures her, he pulled her to his arms and hugs her tightly comforting her.
"Hey guys," Denver calls the two of them.
"What is it?" Zeus asked.
"My parents are fine, and I told them to hide at our house's secret room. I explained to them what is happening and what to do and what to not do." Denver informed them. "Luckily, Sarah's parents went over so they're all together,"
"How about you guys?" Zeus asked Maximus, Frost and Gella.
"I contacted my parents, both of them are safe, they're at the headquarters," Maximus informed them, his father is the head of the military of the Philippines while his mother is working there as an army surgeon.
"And mom said, that Gella's parents are with her they are at the laboratory trying to determine the cure for the virus." Maximus continued, Gella's parents are scientists also working for the government and the laboratory they are working at is based at the military headquarters.
Gella was relieved after learning what's the reason why she can't contact her parents.
"My parents are at home, they're safe for now. But we need to rescue them quickly before it's too late, Can you guys help save them?" Frost plead.
"Of course we will help you guys save your parents, that's what our friends are for, right?!" They said in unison.
They heard a groan from Sarah who is now slowly opening her eyes. Quickly, Denver rushed to her and ask if she's alright, "Hey, are you alright hon?!" worriedly, he asked her.
"Guys," Sarah called to them. Not hearing her boyfriend's question.
"I saw a vision, help is on the way, but I can't tell when nor his gender."
They nodded, they were on deep thought thinking how they can get out of the campus not turning as zombies.
"Guys, I know a way to get us out of here," Zeus told them.
"What way?" Gella asked.
"I'll ask for help, I can contact my country specifically my parents. They can send someone to rescue us."
"That's a good idea!" Calista said.
"But how?" Denver asked.
Zeus took out a small sphere shaped object from his pocket, that object started blinking, then a hologram appeared in front of them.
WHAT THE HECK ZEUS GORDON SENTINEL!!! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!!!
