Carl, an ex-cop is tired of the faltering judicial system, letting criminals go with a mere slap on the wrist. He decides to take matters into his own hands and rid the city of its undesirables once and for all.

Justice Best Served Cold

Being placed under arrest, Jack escorts Carl to the police station, where he's thrown into a small, dank room. The officer links the cuffs clamped against Carl's wrist to another. He then fastens them to the metal bar that's attached to the table in front of him. Another officer secures the prisoner's shackled ankles to his chair. Carl figures the excessive restraints is an intimidation tactic. A way to show him who's in charge. The light flickering off the rhino-gray walls adds to their subduing effect. 


Carl glances around to find a one-way mirror in front of him and a smaller one on his right. The barred window behind him allows a scant amount of sun to seep into the dreary room. Hot air blasts from a vent near his feet, causing sweat to pour from his meaty frame.
