"Um...Hello."

This was the second meeting between Sakura and the boy who was once the cause of her worst nightmares.
Maybe because of her mental state growing more stable over the few months after last seeing him. She sighed lightly in relief at the thought.
'Looks like I can look at him without worry about having a meltdown. It seems I won't have to worry about this anymore.'
Sakura knew she was the one asking to have him beside her just in case something dangerous happens to him, however she held a fear that she would react the same way she did in their first meeting, even after they helped each other out of that situation. She just couldn't erase that worry until this moment.
Azazel just stood silently and allowed her to just stare at him, however he felt a bit awkward and uncomfortable with it. He kept looking away after making eye contact every once or a while.
"H-hello."
Before this awkward moment can stay any longer, a voice of a child broke the silence.
Looking away from Azazel. Sakura finally noticed someone else who tagged along with the older boy.
"Oh? Your that boy.... um, Amar. Right?"
"Y-yes."
The boy quickly hid behind Azazel again after saying those few words.
In that moment of taking a good look of the boy, Sakura quickly noticed the boy had silvery white hair and eyes were the same color. His features however remind her a place in Asia.
'Arabic or Indian. Maybe even Egyptian. But then that's in the African continent right? Actually I can't really remember much of continents and whatnot since I was a lazy student so-wait, stop distracting yourself.'
Sakura sighs at her wondering mind which made Amar believe his presence angered her.
"I-im sorry! I-I didn't mean to bother you."
"Ah No, sorry. I was just thinking of something."
He glances at her from behind Azazel and again Sakura is reminded of something from her other life
'He reminds me of a famous Indian actor who I always liked to watch. His eye shape yet the rest of the features remind me of; What's that actors name? Sha- Uhhh~ I think something Kap. Sha Kapor?? Ni, I think its spelled something else?? Damn! This is what happens when you don't bother remembering actors names. The only name I can remember is Johnny Depp or Keanu Reeves other than that I don't even remember any other actors or actresses. This is why I always lost in trivia games.'
While feeling like smacking herself for being such a lazy person in remembering people. She as quickly got over it because of how useless it all seems for her now.
'Well then again. I'm definitely a corpse in my other world, so who really cares about such unnecessary things when it has no use in this other world. Only time I would care is if I was brought back to my old world, but I don't think that'll ever happen.'
Almost losing herself in her thoughts she quickly shook it off and smiled at Amar. Amar looked different then how he did in the beginning. When she first saw the child, he was malnourished and was dirty from head to toe.
He looked like he lived in the streets all his life with no support. Maybe that was why he sticks to Azazel in that place.
'I never seen this boy in any of Sakura's lives, so most likely he must have died around the ceremony or before Sakura was controlled.’
"Can I ask you something?"
"Ah, s-sure. I no- y-yes your h-highness."
"Don't worry about being formal with me. No one here will snitch on you for it. But anyway: how old are you?"
"Ah, um, I'm. I think... 9?"
"You think?"
"I-I'm sorry! I-I heard from the people w-who took me in s-say I'm a-at the right age for the ceremony. Just-just a year older th-than eight but-but good enough."
"I see... no worries. It isn't your fault you can't remember how old you are if no one really told you."
'Then it seems best not to ask when his birthday is. If he doesn't really know how old he is, then he definitely doesn't know what day he was born.'
"I'm sorry I brought him along without permission. I just couldn't leave him alone in the stables. He isn't used to other people much yet."
Azazel was worried that Sakura would find Amar annoying because he wasn't called to her palace.
"No, it's fine. The more the merrier. I only get to hang out with other kids when they come to visit now or then. So having you guys around makes an everyday feel more fun and less boring."
"I see. I'm glad."
Azazel released a relieved sigh when he heard her words. He was worried Sakura would say she wouldn't like so many people around her and only asked for him or something.
He doesn't know much about Sakura, only she didn't really like him much, so he was surprised he was asked to be her personal servant.
***
"Umm... are you sure her highness is ok with that?"
"I believe so, she personally asked for you after all."
"!? Really, are you sure?"
"Hahaha why so surprised boy? She definitely asked for you since sir Raphael told me that her highness wishes you to be her personal servant. You sure are lucky."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, to be the personal servant to her highness Sakura is something many sought after. Her highness only has her nannies beside her and all servants aren't allowed near her palace unless given permission. All nobles who wanted connections try to get their kids beside her. However the emperor rejected each one by reminding them about that 'incident' and that he won't forgive another incident like that occurring again."
"Incident? What incident?"
"Ah, I forgot. You haven't been here for long. Well, there was a time where her highness almost died because of the carelessness of her maids. So the head butler had all those personal maids kicked out. All those snobby nobles who tried their hardest to get their daughters in tried to oppose sir Raphael decision. However they didn't expect his majesty to agree and almost cut off the heads of their daughters. They got lucky sir Raphael was able to appease him and just get those maids to fired. However the nobles family had to suffer more as punishment.
His majesty sent out an order that all the maids direct family shall have their noble title lowered for raising such children who was careless with a royal child. So if a baron daughter was among them then her family directly loses their noble title and become common people."
"I see! But I have another question."
"What may that be?"
"Why did everyone find it surprising that his majesty almost chilling off those maids? It's his child that almost got killed; so of course he would be angry."
"Ah, well before all the spoiling and pampering you see his majesty doing now. He actually never seemed to display any acknowledgment of her highness."
"Really!?"
"Yes. I remember hearing the maids say the only time he visited the princess in the first three years of her life they could count in one finger. So everyone believed his Majesty was disappointed to learn the child was a girl."
"Was he?"
"Bah. He was never disappointed in the princess... but I think it might have been for a reason."
The old stable man lean closer while whispering those last words. Glancing left to right.
"Reason?"
Azazel copies the mans actions and leans closer too.
"I remember at that time her majesties and the head ministers parents died in an accident: Both instantly died. That was when her majesty got ill and went on a coma. His majesty was busy on looking into the accident and the situation with his wife. So he had to push the princess to the side as a baby. But I believe he did so as to protect her as well."
The man quickly glances outside to see if anyone else heard and when he saw no one, he continued with his words.
"That time his majesty royal parent weren't in the continent at all. And his minister was in grief and the usual two generals he have were still trying to take over the knight units left by their predecessors. It seemed peaceful at the outside, however the inside of this palace walls had a small battle of words and actions. Do you understand what I'm getting at?"
"I think.. so?"
The man sighs and lightly ruffles Azazel's hair.
"You were brought from the outside so you haven't yet been fully exposed by the dark side of nobility and royalty. Sad thing is, our royalties are actually living an easy life compared to those on other empires or kingdoms."
"I understand! He had to look indifferent to the princess's existence so she wouldn't catch unwanted attention by people who would use this chance to get rid of the heir in exchange of sending their daughters to be concubines and birth a male heir."
"Don't be so loud boy! Some of the knight units hold high born nobles who wanted to do that!"
The man covered Azazel's mouth in panic and looked around in fear of any wandering knights.
The old man moves Azazel closer to the secluded area of the stable. Moving bot of them even further away from the open area of outside.
"There are things we can't say out loud here boy. If you want to remain here with no sudden 'discharge' of work."
"O-ok. Sorry."
"Well, it's fine. Your still a young one. But I'm glad your getting sent over there. It is definitely safer in that area for you since I've seen a few unwelcoming gazes from some of the knights. I thing a few already heard of your fathers and your origins and would come any day now to cause issue."
The old man sighs and gently Pat's his back to ease up his aches. He gives a brush to Azazel at the same time.
"Well, we wasted too much time talking. The horses are beginning to get restless for their daily brushing. How about you help the horses over their and I start with the ones over here."
"Ok."
"Go go. We don't have all day."
The old man smiles warmly and shoos Azazel away. But before Azazel went fully away from the man sights he turns around.
"Oh! Mr.Roger."
"Hm?"
"Thank you for being kind to both be and Amar. I know with our situation. Not many places would welcome us."
Amar wasn't with them because the o le man sent him with one of the squires to get feed for the horses. The squire was Mr. Roger's grandson, the youngest.
"Bah! What's there to thank for? We just doing our best to live. And I can see you both are doing just that. Can't hate two hardworking children now can I?"
The old man had his head turn away however Azazel notices the man's ears were a tinted red.
Laughing, Azazel turns and begins the task the old man gave him.
***
"Azazel!"
"Huh!?"
"You dazed off again. Her high- S-Sakura was asking what you'll like to play before you begin your studies with Sir Raphael."
"O-oh. Sorry, I was out of it for a sec haha!"
He laughs awkwardly when he got caught spacing out of their conversation.
"Its fine. I know how it feels to get caught thinking of something else. It happens to me a million times."
Sakura gives him a knowing smile and can't really think badly of him since she does that a lit of times.
"I'm fine with whatever her highness wishes to do."
"Sakura."
"Huh?"
"Just call me Sakura when it's just us together. Getting spoken to so formally makes it awkward for me. Especially because I'll have you guys beside me for years to come."
"Haha. Ok. Then Sakura. What do you feel like doing?"
"Hmm~ oh!"
As if a lightbulb turns on in her mind. She smiles mischievously.
"How about hide and seek- but not in my room. Let's do it at the garden father personally arranged for me."
"H-hide and seek?"
"Yeah! But let's place some rules and penalties."
Her smile widen making both boys feel like they are caught in a trap, just that they don't know what type.
