Shin-li discovered Yugi as her childhood lover, together with Lee-Shin and Dione as her Childhood friends, while Lee-shin died on a gunshot while saving her from Secretary Yuan's wrath. As the story unfolds, Dione is the long-forgotten son of the Prime Minister and the late Princess Shin-di, but was entrusted to the care of the Prime Minister's Sister Ericka. Due to that, Dione developed a grudge against his true father, but became an angel in disguise at the end of the story.

Meanwhile, Queen Xiao Fan succeed in assassinating the Prime Minister and his death led to another whirlwind and to the Queen's execution.

Gheo'to almost rape Shin-li because of his desperation for his forbidden love, causing the best friends to be torn apart, and urges him to commit suicide.
