Chapter 65: First Scorpion Contact

Black smoke floated up into the air, from the remnants of the tamsarah. Its corpse was a horrific scene of dried blood and burnt tissue. The sand around it was a pool of molten sand which later cooled down into glass.

Yuki and Cecilia were speechless. Even Rose herself was shocked. She had not thought that the effect of the spell was this devastating.

“Whoa…” A voice from behind the tamsarah. The girls looked in that direction to find that Matthew was walking towards them while holding his left arm.

“Matt, are you okay?” Rose immediately jogged towards him.

“Yeah, I’m okay but, that guy looks a bit too hot.” He laughed at his own joke.

Rose scoffed. “What’s wrong with your left arm?”

“Oh, it’s just a bit aching. Maybe the bone hasn’t fully healed yet. Don’t worry, I’m fine but damn that tail smack powerful. If it wasn’t for Cecilia’s barrier, I would’ve been squished. Thanks” He said to Cecilia.

Cecilia smiled. “I’m glad you’re okay.”
