Chapter 114: Unexpected Reunion

“Bran?”

“Brother.”

The brothers stared at each other for a while. Metil slowly and painfully stood up and walked closer to Bran.

“I’ve missed you Bran. How have you been?” Metil had a very happy and relieved face while he spoke.

“Better than you are right now.” Bran still had a sad tone.

“Haha, man am I happy to see you.” Metil happily ran towards Bran.

“Why did you leave?” Bran asked seriously.

Metil was a bit shocked and stopped in his tracks. “Huh?”

“Mom and dad were so worried.”

Metil sighed angrily. “Again with those two. I’m just trying to help our family. Why is that so hard for them to understand?”

“Dad told you to just help with the farm, but you just left.”

“Our farm, HIS farm, is not working and the landlord just keeps harassing us. Mom was sick for months already at the time. I had to do something to help cause you’re still in school. What’s so wrong about that?”
