Chapter 190: Internal Conflict

Inside the underground bunker, a Hunter that goes by the name Christopher was talking to a knight on duty. They were currently inside a room in the medical bay. There was a corpse of a man on the floor.

“It seems this man indeed turned into a vampire.” Christopher reported his finding.

“B-but why did he turn into one? How did he turn into one?” Harun, the knight, asked as he was not knowledgeable about it.

“People turn into vampires by forming contracts with the devil or by consuming the blood of other vampires. In this case, I believe it is the latter.”

“Consuming blood? Did he drink blood from somewhere?”

“Unlikely. Based on the wife’s assessment, her husband was a healthy young man that had no problems in life. There was no reason for him to make a deal with the devil. Unless he hid it from his own wife.”

“Which means that there is a possibility, right?” Harun said.

“That’s why I said it was unlikely. I can’t rule that out, but I do not think that is the case.”
