37 - Jealousy

The theory of Samira being the true identity of Nadine Ndongo was false. Jieung-yong admitted it. But that didn't mean he would stop his rebellion plan that fast.

Boss perfect facade was nothing more than that: a facade. He would soon pierce the illusion of flawlessness.

He had all week to think about a new plan. Unlike certain people, he wasn't starving to death. He could think in peace, rationally. Jieung-yong wasn't even a little bit hungry, actually.

He was slurping on freshly pressed clementine juice. On the floor, a plate full of ham and rice-filled his plate.

He even had access to wifi on a tablet especially purchased for him. Boss said it was for research for his LED, but she wasn't checking whether he was twitting or not.

"Maybe I should have become an engineer. I would have nicely paid. Am I right, David?"

"I wouldn't be so happy if I was you. Are you thinking about Song-ho, who suffered without eating for a week?"

He could hear his voice from the armored door. David was probably sitting in front of the door right now. He was doing that every day. The gem was already finished for a long time. True vacations.

Food, Wifi, David... This so-called "punishment" week would not be that horrible, after all.

"Jieung-yong," whispered David, "Are you even reflecting on your vile act?"

"That was an accident, so, there is absolutely nothing to reflect on. You know I wasn't trying to hit on the cross-dressing coward. Hitting on him is the Gay clown's job, no pun intended."

"Jieung-yong, stop that! You can't keep insulting people endlessly. Their relationship is their problem. Don't judge them."

"Why are you mad? You liked my jokes before."

"I'm talking about important matters, Jieung-yong. You have to stop taking everything as a joke. you could get killed.

He began eating his delicious piece of porc, "I know about the risks. Revolutionary fighters are always prepared to die. But if you want me to live so much, help me win this war. One person can't create a revolution."

No response.

Was he...declining his offer? That wasn't good. Without the Puma on his team, defeating Boss would be impossible!

A drop of sweat wetted his nape, "Can I count on you? I missed Boss the first time, but my second plan will definitely work!"

David stayed silent. He was probably biting his lips, thinking carefully about his next words. Jieung-yong, for a moment, regretted being apart from David. If he was near him, he would have stroked his arms gently, influencing him with his targeting tenderness.

"Please, do it for your old friend."

"There won't be the next time." His voice was firm, with no hesitation.

"What?"

"You heard that right. I won't be playing at that little frame anymore. And I don't do it because I'm against you, but because you're my friend. I can"t help a man who needs to hurt people just for pride and status. You don't want justice like Boss. You want affection. There are tons of other ways to get it. So, don't do stupid things." David stood up.

Panicked, Jieung-yong slammed the door, "Wait!"

"Goodbye." It was the last thing he said before leaving the surroundings of the White Room.

If he were near David, he would have chased him, hugged him tightly, and whispered his name softly to make him change his mind.

The Puma was escaping from him. His Puma was running away from him.

"How could I kill her without you? You're her Queen! You're the best person I've ever seen! You're..."

He laid on the cold floor.

David A hole of sadness formed inside his belly. Without him, fighting wouldn't be the same.

He hit his temples, "Why am I even fighting?"

David was wrong. Jieung was fighting for justice. He was fighting to out strength North Korea and show Yoh Chihiye he was more worthy than her own child.

But even if he accomplished all of that alone, the absence of David would scar him.

It would be horrible if David began ignoring him.

It would be horrible if David spent his time with someone else. Someone like the Turquoise Queen...

He held his head, "Keep calm. Everything is alright. I won't let this happen. No way. I am going to find a solution. But what do I really want?

Yoh Chihye? David?

Someone knocked on the door. Jieung-yong blurted a quick, "Who's that?" hoping it would be the man tormenting his mind.

"Hey, it's Wei. I wanted to know if you were done with the gem. She doesn't want to show it like that, but Bos is very scared about someone touching her beloved gem."

Wei Xiaojian. David told him about his high mood, this week. Apparently, his relationship with Song-ho was better than ever. David told me they seemed happy and intimate.

The gay clown knocked at the door again, "Jiieung-yong? You still haven't said anything about the gem?"

Still no answers.

"Are you mad? I just saw the Puma walking past me and frowning. Are you okay?"

"Get out."

"Don't be like that. Everyone can quarrel once in a while. If you tell each other what you're really feeling inside, everything will be okay..."

Since everything was fine with Song-ho, he decided to play the psychologists? He was sure Wei was smiling foolishly, thinking about his new boyfriend."

That damned Song-ho. He was always ahead of him. Even for love, he...

"Fuck you, Song-ho."

"Huh?"

"You, get lost. I don't need you. Thank you."

Wei whispered something about his bad mood before leaving him.

Perfect. He'd rather be alone.

"Song-ho, this is all your fault. If you didn't exist, I would be her son, and he would be near me! You shouldn't have been born."

He got his abandoned toolbox and took out his modified taser gun, "I could do something more with you."
