Darkest Before the Dawn

"When I mildly suggested that you and Finn do something to signal your mating to the other Alphas, I didn't expect you to fuck him!” He exclaims, his tone full of shock and surprise. Realization dawns over me that I made no effort to cover my mark, and I made no effort to warn them. 


"Oh that." I mumble quietly to myself, shifting a little awkwardly not sure of how to handle their new emotions. 


"What Joey meant to say was, congratulations Alpha Dawn." Annalise said with a smile, chuckling at our interaction and I nod my head in thanks. She gets up off the stool and removes herself from the room. Joey remains quiet since his last comment, almost seeming to go into shock. I slowly walk over to where he is sitting and place my hand on his shoulder. 


"Are you okay Joey?" I ask him and he blinks rapidly, seeming to be awake from his frozen state. He turns in his seat to face me.
