Elisha is an illegitimate child of the Houston Family. Her parents sold her to an old businessman to save their company from losses and to maintain their family's wealth. Throughout Elisha's life, she did nothing but obey her father's orders, suffers the pain and oppression of her stepmom and stepsisters. Elisha looked straight at Dashiel's eyes. They were cold but also serious. She was surprised to hear those words from a stranger who she just married, and she never heard those words from a man before. It is her first time, but little did she know, she was happy and relieved. She slowly looked down and hid her small smile from him. 


"Elisha, now that you are a married woman, my wife, your family can no longer decide for you. You should decide for yourself and follow what you want" Once Dashiel finished his word, he continued eating while Elisha slowly nodded her head and thought thoroughly about what Dashiel's said. 


They continued eating in silence, but Elisha was happy.
