Zoe was never asked why she was found injured in a field in the middle of nowhere.

It has not been a nice journey for her. It has been a journey of torture and madness.

The pieces of grey hair were the biggest indicator.

Billy offered her to stay in the house for as long as she wanted. At first, she wanted to leave, but she noticed very quickly how weak she was, and decided to accept.

Francis finally asked something related to what had happened to her, but not directly. He asked her if she knew someone around here that might be dangerous.

“I’ve been traveling around and some mercenaries attacked me, but I took care of them” she lied. The truth was stranger than fiction.

Francis did not say anything else.

The men went on with their work, while Zoe did basic exercises to regain her lost muscle. She also ate a lot, which was something Francis found surprising.
