Rue knew that she must have been at the top of the tower.

She also knew that the monsters here were ranked not in terms of strength, but in terms of aloofness.

Aloofness towards the villain and his stupid idea of being the demon lord.

That means that the more aloof you were towards the idea of guarding the princess and guarding against adventurers, the closer you are to the entrance.

She had only met one of the guardians.

They were the most uninterested in what the villain wanted to do.

They always let any and all adventurers pass through.

Rue was going to have to fight him, and it was not going to be a fight she could win.

Either way, she knew that the only path available to her was down these stairs.

And so, Rue began her descent.

It followed a pretty easy pattern.

You went down the stairs, fought a sort of Boss, you ate something that was casually placed there, and then you kept going down. That is pretty much it.
